(i) How many such tables are possible?
(ii) what is the diameter of the table?
(iii) If the spot is on the edge which is in between the ponts of contact of the table and walls, then what is the radius of the table?

Question 2:

Let the circle be of radius r. So, the lengths OD = OA = OB = r.
OC = CD - OD = 36-r.
In triangle COA (or COB for that matter) applying pythogoras theorem,
(36-r)^2 + 18^2 = r^2

Solving for r, we get r = 22.5.

Hope that helps.

Regards,
Bharathi.
the solution is ok..but if the PERPENDICULAR does not go through the CENTRE of the CIRCLE then this solution no possible..correct me if i am wrong..thanx
