CAT 2008: QQAD Practice Test Discussions

Hi Friends

I was preparing for CAT 2008. As far as my understanding goes theree are some where around 35 to 40 different types of Quant questions. I wanted to know if anyone has a format or solved set of questions which cover the entire range of questions which appear in CAT.

I would be extremely thankful if some one could post them or mail them to me at ckeshava@hotmail.com.

Yes sir, I will do that positively by midnight today. The Nadal-Federer extended match (it got over at 2 am IST) took away my time that I had planned for compiling the solutions posted by PGites.

Hi friends, I am new in this thread and subscribed to it just to get the a quant problem daily in my mailbox. But yesterday I received a solution set for practice test 2 and only then I came to know about it.

But I don't know when the next test would take place and how I would get to know it. Can somebody please tell me how I can get the information.

hi All,
i have a doubt in q 16 , please help in understanding solu, the solu mentioned is:

This one was a breather in Geometry.
Join PT. Since SP=UP. ∆SPT ≈ ∆UPT (SSS Congruency)
So ST = TU.

In ∆SQT and ∆URT, QT=TR and ST=TU
so both these triangles too are similar (by SS)
=>SQ=UR=2 cm. Hence(A)
-----------------------------------------------
two triangles are similar for 3 conditions: SSS, SAS,AA
but in the two triangles ∆SPT and ∆UPT only two sides are equal i.e PT is common and PU = PS , then how can it be SSS congruent? Please guide me and correct me where ever wrong.. thanks in advance for help...
