Unhappy Need suggestion on Preparation - 05-05-2008, 05:24 PM

Hi,
I am appearing for CAT 2008. Therefore I have started preparation but on the way I found that I can manage each Quant problem with 5 mins avg. time. If I go in this speed I can maximum solve 10 question in 50 mins ( if I distribute total time of 150 mins against 3 sections).

I need a suggestion on how to improve my calculation speed?

will rigorous practice make it happen ? or it is with inborn intelligence that matters here.

Please help.....

Regards,

AC

Hi,

its just practice that'll help u doing this...
clear all ur basic fundas n try to do most of the calculations mentally rather than in writing...

also, learn to select easy questions from a given set of questions... u shud be able to answer more questions with accuracy rather than just attempt questions for the sake of attempting...

Last but not the least, do search for relevent info before starting any thread... there r already several threads related to CAT preparation at :
Prep Resources - PaGaLGuY.com - The Everything of MBA, CAT 2008, GMAT, XAT, IIM
Quantitative Questions and Answers - PaGaLGuY.com - The Everything of MBA, CAT 2008, GMAT, XAT, IIM
English Resources - PaGaLGuY.com - The Everything of MBA, CAT 2008, GMAT, XAT, IIM

Do go thru them n post ur queries there.

Hope this Helps

ATB
