As option 2 and option 3 are correct so the answer is option 5.

Hello All,
Kindly report us in case you aren't receiving the NLs. I hope all of you got the announcement QQAD 2008 mailer?
Quite a number of PGites PMed me today as they didn't get QQAD # 001 and I have forwarded their email id to PG technical team.
For any future concerns please write to estranged_gnrs or me. Writing directly to Rohit (estranged_gnrs) will invoke quicker response on technical issues. @ mods..
plzz dont label this post as spam..
@ everybody...
I have been following QQAD since last year and I have followed every bit of it.
Today were the CAT results. I had two calls B and L. B ditched me and L gave me waiting list. Frankly, people would expect me to weep and stay away from everything for a few days. Trust me, it really hurts a lot.
But I had had enough this whole day. I have been reading 'All I wanted to talk about CAT' all this time... and finally I realize.. "what the hell !! It's just my first time, I am still a fresher. If in my first attempt I can reach the final step, I am confident I can go over it next year."
The most important thing I wanted to say is, everybody, make full use of QQAD, make full use of aarav and vineet. I scored 99.98%ile in quant in CAT 2007 and I owe every bit of it, every damn bit of it to those two people and other people whom I have interacted with on last year QQAD thread. I can bet my life that you wont get any institute material better than QQAD and the practice tests that aarav and vineet provide.

a+b+c+d=20
a^2+b^2+c^2+d^2=292
a^2+^2+c^2+d^2 will hav its maximum value when the numbers are as far apart as possible..
so 1,1,1, 17 can give the the maximum value which is 292
so 1,1,1,17 is the only soln.
option2,3 are right and hence overall option5 is correct. | | | | | | | |

Quantitative Question # 002
------------------------------------------------------ Consider a string of n 7s, 7777....77, into which + signs are inserted to produce an arithmetic expression. For example, 7 + 777 + 7 = 791 could be obtained from five 7s in this way. For how many values of n is it possible to insert + signs so that the resulting expression has value 7000? (1) 105 (2) 106 (3) 108 (4) 109 (5) 111 What lies in front of you or behind you is nothing compared to what lies within you - T.M.W.S.H.F The greatest events in the life aren't the loudest, but the quietest hours - Anonymous Subscribe to QQAD: http://www.pagalguy.com/index.php?categoryid=65 | | | | | The Following 4 Users Say Thank You to Aarav For This Useful Post: | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
