Well solving problems of higher difficulty level does help as far as training of mind is concerned. And I do appreciate the effort being put in by PG team to this end. I have not seen you around on qqad threads much. People like you down the tempo of a zealful lot.
Everyone who is regular on QQAD knows that few questions are framed on some sources like artofproblemsolvin.com.
Puys here have been asked by Aarav to visit those sources and take maximum out of them, as Cat and Xat themselves have lifted the problems verbatim from there.
The focus of this concept is to impart learning in the best possible way.
Take it as a warning...stay away from this thread if at all you wana propagate such -ve points!
And in case you need any help you can revert back to any of the zealful regulars here on this thread...They wont dissappoint you coz they love it

Well that sounds like a headmaster scolding a school kid.  . I am really scared yar.
I know truths are really hard to digest. And yes I don bother to solve those questions, which I know I can solve sonner or later. It is just matter of time. I love maths but I love my Goal more than that.
Finally, the official solutions being posted are The Best only known to PG team. By saying best, one is limiting the powers of maths itself, let alone the PG team.
And yes I will not waste any more time to reply to these useless arguments.

Good Luck! | Hello Mister ! Where were you when a thread was opened by aarav to get feedback about QQAD?  Do you know the amount of hard work put in to make this wonderful product? If you are so intelligent and can come up with better solutions, why not post 'em in the thread? If you can prepare better problems, do that and post 'em in other quant threads. We would be more than happy to learn from you sir Moreover, QQAD team is always welcome to include the best solution in the newsletter
and everyone here knows that very well. Don't pass such comments without getting the real flavor of something. Remember that when you are pointing a finger at something, the remaining four fingers point at you.

Krish and Vineet do we really need to get into all this. I have been following QQAD very closely but never have been an active poster, but this thing here, you people are doing good work don't let a moron drive you from your focal point.
Just ignore them no need for all this explanation , justification and reasoning at all. As a quote my the Great mahatma goes: 'First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win." -(may not be verbatim, but it's somewhat like this.).
Anyways kudos to the PG team for all th great work they have put in. Don't let these intermittent musings deter you, they aren't even worth your attention leave aside the explanations!!!

Good Luck! | Yaar, I don't know if I should be getting more into this now -> will suggest you to come to QQAD threads regularly and participate in the discussions. We will be more than happy to get better solutions from you  please excuse me for earlier using the term "best solutions" as we qualified this with the term -> "according to me". But yes, you are right we don't always stretch ourselves to limits to look for more better solutions mainly because of time constraints. I will give you an example when we really try hard. Vineet and I last year wanted to give a problem on Averages -> as has been with QQAD, due to limitation of just 1 question a day, we serve problems that can cover as many concepts as possible. So after some hard work, we found one problem from a mathematical contest. It had no solution -> please see, we solve each and every problem 1st even when the solutions are available. As we started that problem we found it a real challenge and whole night Vineet and I were on Y to write a good mathematical solution for that. It took us 4 hours to come with good choices and solution. So much that I engaged a Roorkee and JEE topper (95 batch) friend of mine who is in research department of Intel now. Our belief was, if some one could attempt and understand the nuances of that problem then any problem on Averages will be a child's play in future.
I'm not sure if your reply to Vineet was in good understanding of the affairs here. He was the person who was instrumental in kickstarting QQAD 2007 and work diligently day in and out for 2 months for the prepration of QQAD, when I had almost thought not to restart becuase of job pressure. Be wise on the use of your words and thoughts next time. Initially there was 0.1 kg of melon 9.9 kg of water.
Let there be x kg of water remaining after dehydration.
Hence x/(x+0.1) = 0.95 => x = 1.9
