Question PS Ques - 31-03-2008, 02:09 PM

Hi Guys ,

I came across the following question and couldnt solve it. Any guidance will be appreaciated.

Q-1 John, Karen and Luke collected cans of vegetable of a food drive. The number of cans that John collected was 1/2 the number of cans that Karen collected and 1/3 the number of cans that Luke collected. The number of cans that Luke collected was what fraction of the total number of cans that John, Karen and Luke collected?

(A) 1/5
(B) 1/3
(C) 2/5
(D) 1/2
(E) 2/3

I tried solving it but wasnt able to.

If anyone can give solutio with explanation it will be nice.

Thanks

Prime Numbers are what is left when you have taken all the patterns away. I think prime Numbers are like life. They are very logical but you could never work out the rules, even if you spent all your time thinking about them.

Re: PS Ques - 31-03-2008, 03:20 PM

I am sorry to post an individual question like a thread. But to be honest I am surprised. Unlike other forums which do allow you to do that here I have to post in a thead only.

Moreover I did perform a search before posting my question. As the search did not yield any results I posted in the quant section. I didnt realise that I need to post it in existing threads.
