option 2 alone, as in option 1 X is in upper case Hope that is the catch

Hey bindaas_life.

Can you please explain the solution for Q1 & 2. I did not get the solution posted by selebratinglife .
[Originally Posted by selebratinglife
Subtract the first term from the second and second from third and so on till they all become equal..

In this case 1,0,3,10,21,36,55
Now After the first round we get the series as -1,3,7,11,15,19
After second round we get 4,4,4,4,4..
Since we got this after 2 rounds, its a second degree equation. If after three rounds, its a third degree and so on.
Now consider the equation as ax^2+bx+c..Substitute x=1,2,3 and solve to get a,b and c.

a) 105 b) 150 c)135 d)120

this question can be solved by mere observation and using the options

the series is 1,0,3,10,21,36,55,...

in this series each odd term is odd and each even term is even. therefore 50 th term will be even. but in this case the options are niot correct and thus, none option is correct and the correct answer is 4656

i think the correct answer would be using both the statements together because in this question we are asked to find the value of x/y and not x/y?

correct me if i m wrong

21 = (3)*(7)
36=(4)*(9)
55=(5)*(11)
