Question(s):(Part A)A regular hexagon ABCDEF is inscribed in a circle with radius r. Another regular hexagon is formed (lying fully inside the circle with radius r) with 2 of its vertices internally on AB and another 2 on the circle. What is the ratio of the sides of the smaller hexagon to the larger hexagon?
(a) 1/18 (b) 1/12 (c) 1/13 (d) 1/6 (e) none of the foregoing
I am getting an irrational fraction for this...how could options be so neat? Is it None of the foregoing then?

Nope.....!!!
Ans to first one is 1/(7+4sqrt(3)) right?.....
Side of the big hexagon = r(radious of hte circle
Now let the side of hte small hexagon be x
then we have sqrt(3)/2*r + x + sqrt(3)/2*x = r
Hence x = ( 7+4sqrt(3) ) r
Hence None of the foregoing....What say about my ans??
