Quant problem - 25-12-2006, 12:02 AM

HI friends
I am new to this forum

can anyone tell me the solution for this problem


My house number is
if not multiple by 3 it is with in 50-59
if not multiple by 5 it is with in 60-69
if not multiple by 10 it is with in 70-79
find house number.

whatz the answer?

This can be one solution or the other solution is 75 . If we only take the abbove conditions to be true

Hi gurus....
I got few doubts in number system.....iin quant

Can ne one pls provide me generalize solution for the following problems

1.) How many digits will be in a number formed by multiplying a 7 digit number with a 8 digit number ?
A) 14 Digit B) 15 Digit c) 14 or 15 Digit D) None

2.)There will be how many digit in Square root of a 15 digit number ?

A)7 Digit B) 8 Digit C) 7 or 8 Digit

Please help me out ......!!!

hello,
1) there is a formula that m*n=m+n or m+n-1 where m,n denotes the no. of digits.So, when 8 is multiplied with 7 the results is 8+7=15 or 15-1=14.So, choice (c) is the answer.
2)Similarily there is a formula that the square of n is 2n or 2n-1 where n denotes the no. of digits. So, calculating in reverse order 7^2=14 or 13 and 8^2=16 or 15.So,the answer is choice (B).
