let x = capacity of tin
y= capacity of bottle

3x/5 - 1x/2 = 3 y
x/10 = 3y
x = 30 y.

it means x is multiple of 30 from option it is only 30(option b)

Correct me if i am wrong.

My doubt : Whats the purpose of writing 'if 6 bottles are taken out of it and 3 bottles are filled again', does it not mean that we are taking out just 3 bottles in actual (if this was meant to confuse the student, then I guess this needs to be done with a very very difficult language).

Now the solution

Let V by the total volume of the tin. And B be the volume of the bottles.

=> (3/5)V -6B + 3B = (1/2)V => (3/5 - 1/2) V = 3B
=> (1/10) V = 3B => V = 30B . Hence 30 Bottles is the capacity of the tin.
