hi guys,
lets say i m Mr. N... i write CAT since last 3 yrs... i m having a SC/ST certificate... n work ex of 3-4 yrs...
wont i hav IIM calls every year??
can u dare to ask me conversions for every year??
especially.. is thr any proof???

the mail was just a reply to querry of sheena_nag
and ya.. being at PT surat...
the Centre Director is getting calls at mere 85 percentile... thanx to SC/ST certificate.. + 3 yrs work exp...
so getting calls... but i doubt conversion?
16 out of 19 is again... doubtful..
plz check the present faculties...??
and value for money.. sorry for that..
being a PT student... i know quite a lot
so dont worry.. its very much relevant

well i am from nit surat ..pt down there is good ..i mean the faculty . but the kind the janata that u sud look for is not there , insti like pt would make u complacent ..
mock cat of pt are waste ..i feel they are head and shoulders away from what real cat is .. but in surat u dont have any options ...
so better go 4 it ..

hi guys n gals..personally after meetin all n being n ex-IMS student..PT is no match 2 IMS..I've frens @ PT who regret their decision..Just go n tk a visit @ IMS center..meet the centre manager..see the facilities there..n thn take a decision..plus 16/19 iim calls..all crap..they hv considered ex PT students frm last 3-4 yrs who were IMS/CL?CF students in the other part of country during CAT 2004..so all that glitters is not gold..finally i wud suggest u guys 2 go by ur judgement./..adieu

I too agree with some previous reply..al that glitters are not gold!!....Me too from surat and to some extend know about all Institute here....see one have to keep in mind few factors before joining any institute and the rest is of course up to u..if u take seriously and prep regularly u will definately win...I have quite good experience abt IMS here...There is no match to IMS Material, IMS SimCATs..these are considered best in india...Regarding teaching methodology..it depends on different centres....here at surat they are trying hard to give all kind of facility..conducts diff workshops which is taken by experts...take personal counselling at each step....Some people find IMS SimCATs very tough they can go for combination of IMS and CL test series..this combination will help them a lot..Rest is upon u...No miracle can happen in our life...we have to hard..

well i was a PT student last year and although i did come smelling of roses woth a 98+percetile i would like to say that no point in joining Pt if an IMs is around coz the course material IMs is beetter adn faculty what have u got to chosse betn jumping into a well or from the terrace.
so just put your head down and aim for IMs or CL but no other deviation should be welcome according to me.
