Group discussion is an important dimension of the selection process. Any institute requires students to work with others for effective functioning. Therefore, people skills are an important aspect of any MBA program.

The topics of GD can be varied :

IMT GDs topcs-

Do women make good managers?
US-Iraq war.
Should FTV be banned?
Politics is run by the barrel of gun.
Retirement age for politics.
Indian economy is old wine in new wine!

Some useful tips:

* Be as natural as possible. Do not try and be someone you are not. Be yourself.
* A group discussion is your chance to be more vocal. The evaluator wants to hear you speak.
* Take time to organize your thoughts. Think of what you are going to say.
* Seek clarification if you have any doubts regarding the subject.
* Don't start speaking until you have clearly understood and analyzed the subject.

well! there is no thumb rule.... on what topics ....here are some more

1) ENTER THE DRAGON
2) Bath tubs rose petals and the Y chromosome

Business:
1. Reliance Split - Demerger.
2. WTO trade agreement - Effect on textiles.
3. Sensex - Hype or Real.
4. Disinvestment - Would it go through this year?

Politics:
1. Sena - 5 years from now?
2. India - Back to the 1950's with only one govt?
3. Resurrection of BJP.

Kan any1 letme know the internet URL where i Kan lear all about commerce.. Like wht is sensex,what is Dollar rate , GDP,FII,FDI.. My knowledge about these things is almost zeroo ...... I'll be glad if any1 kan suggest me intenet website or a book to learn above details ..plzzzzzzzzz help
