nice 2 revive the topic at this time.
almost all the topics r okey, but what does these mean:
1. The Wheel is Turning Round and Round
2. Up the Down Staircase
and how 2 debate these:
1. When I woke up in the morning I saw…
2. With IT replacing middle level management, software jobs are more lucrative than MBAs (S.P Jain, March'99)
and ya, i thought that most of topics at iim's gd r quite vague and difficult.these seem avg.why so?
life is not binary, its fuzzy

Both these are abstract GD topics. Don't take them very literally. For the first one, you can take it philosophically and talk about the march of time, or you could take it a little bit literally and talk about the revolution that the invention of the wheel wrought. For the second topic, you could talk about 'going against the flow' or going against existing beliefs and traditions.

The word 'debate' used above is incorrect. You just have to 'discuss' these topics and not 'debate'. For the first one, use your imagination , and for the second one, if you have observed this kind of trend (or the opposite), you can discuss it either way. This shouldn't be very difficult.

May be we can talk about the way things repeat themselves over a period of time..
Talk about how India was so advanced in Science and now the world seems to reinvent what we had invented 1000 year ago.
Talk about the big bang and the theory that all the universe will again squeeze back to a small point and then again the bigbang.
Talk about the invention of wheel..( Oops how could i forget it..)
Talk about how the same product is relaunched in a new packaging in market and gets good sales...
Talk about birth and rebirth..
Thats it..
More than enough..
