The Official GK Thread for B School Entrance Exams 2009-10 -

General Knowledge as we all know is a vast subject in itself, spanning from applying common sense to mugging up facts. It is important not just for exams like - SNAP, IIFT, IRMA (and others of the ilk) but also after the commencement of GD/PIs.
So, as the saying goes - The sooner the better!
Let's fire up our intellects and dedicate a part of our MBA preparation time to GK as well. After all there's no substitute for slow and steady hard work.
I request the mods to take the appropriate actions and fellow puys to contribute their ideas to make this thread more helpful.
PS: I owe my MBA admit to the last year's thread and hence will try to be a regular contributor here.

1. Jaipur foot was invented by a craftsman RAMCHANDRA SHARMA but launched by DR. P.K. SETHI. (googled it)
2.European Space Agency (ESA), the United States and that of Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS). Total number of payloads is eleven – five Indian, three of ESA, two of the US and one of BAS.
3. Volkswagen group
4. i think MARUTI ALTO is highes selling car in Indian market.
