I don't think we have one particular book that is sufficient for our preparation. Better read newspapers, watch news on tv, check B-magazines on regular basis, surf internet. And follow few threads here.

Try and get your hands on any good yearbook..e.g.: Manorama..or the Pearson's one..or the Penguin one.. The blend of current affairs and past records make these books a very good aid in cracking the G.K. section of the various entrance exams.
