see i was in weekend batch at TIME kolkata.
What i felt is that before GD/PI call if you see the TIMES classes and coaching related stuufs i felt TIME is better compared to IMS. But IMS is not that bad too both are at par almost 19-20.
But in IMS (salt lake centre) you will get good place to study and lot of books,Good infrastructure.(I dunno about other centrs of TIMES and IMS;thi whole discussion is about IMS and TIME SALTLAKE branch)

HOwever after the written examination when it comes to GD/PI preperation i will say IMS is far better compared to TIME. You will get a lot off individual attention and support from the faculty at IMS. So IMS is better in this perspective.
Now its up to you what you choose. I hope this will help you.

Hi I’m in IMS hungerford st batch in kolkata. I find it good, also my frenz hav also compared it wid other branches of IMS… since this is located in the heart of the city , the cream of the faculties prefer to come here… Plus buddy its not the coaching institute what shud really matter… what really matters is your determination and consistency… U have to atleast devote solid 1 hour daily for ur cat prep and also I wud suggest dat during aug-sep wen mocks start, den u can join time/erudite as an additional source of preparation…. All the best, dude.

I agree with you but coaching do play a vital role when it comes to GD/PI. Cos what i personally feel is though a coaching institute cant make you get thru into a good B school but surely they can teach you what things you shouldnt do while appearing for a GD/PI.
