Can you please tell me that in MUMBAI , VASHI which class is better IMS or TIME , as i am new to these place.

Time is teaching more classes then IMS and is more serious in Class room teachings.

But though i am unaware of both of them.

Please post your views to help me out.

Hey..

As far as a good coaching center is concerned.. trust me they are all the same.. go for the one thats closest to your place or ask your seniors, some centers have better faculty than the others...
i went to ims.. and i thot it was ok.. more than the actual stuff they teach there, its the comppetition you are exposed to that helps you raise your game a few levels..
also mocks are very important.. they say TIME's are usually tougher than the rest..
you still have a lot of time for the CAT.. good luck..

I am from visakhapatnam. I do not know what kind of faculty IMS have in visakhapatnam. But IMS material is awesome. Am in a dilemma, which institute to join(TIME or IMS). can someone please shed light on this issue.

Hi

Anyone interested in buying TIME material 2007 ?
do pm me

I have before this joined IMS, CF and TIME :lookroun: ofcourse in diff years

My sincere suggestion would be to go for a test series instead of a full time coaching ... no doubt it helps in maintaining a tempo of your preparation but sometimes u also tend to get bogged down by the huge amount of material and sometimes the faculty are also not that good (exceptions are there)

I dint crack CAT ... but looking back i feel that a test series with a thorough analysis of each test and working on the weaknesses helps a lot!!

Wish you all the best
Regards

well said frnd,
my experience of last year with TIME also suggest that test series are enough to get you thru if you are analyzing them properly and working on your basics. what i believe is that no one else can tell you your weakness and how to work on them.i had very bad experience with TIME(Bangalore).

If you really plan to crack CAT dont join these classes. As my faculty used to say .. what they teach in these classes will be taught to many students and the shortcut tricks would not differentiate you. Instead in Mumbai there are a few good Private coaching classes like Munira who has once scored 100%ile, Patrick who has scored 100%ile this year or Srinivasan who is from IIM B. They really teach you great methods which actually differentiate you from the rest and teach you techniques which none of the classes teach. Also as per what I have heard is almost 20 to 30% of their students do get calls from IIMs. These also include B com students. My suggestion try them out.
One of my friend who has not touched Math for last 5 years managed to get 99.9 %ile and calls from all IIMs after joining one of these private classes.
