But as and when new links keep getting updated, and that includes permalinks to the posts by any of our esteemed PG alumni last year, you will have to update your post as it is right on top, coz your post will be the one stop map for the entire thread! This will be to avoid any mess!

I have really fond memories of this thread. Helped me crack the GD/PI actually.

Just a few notes here:
1: Having too much gyaan on eco/fin/marketing is not necessary. I really doubt that they are going to ask you this.
2: Prepare a lot on personals. You must have answers to questions such as "Why MBA", "Tell me something about yourself", "Why should we choose you?", "Why IIM X"
3: Read the newspapers daily
4: Discuss topics that are hot in the papers on this thread.

Good that the thread is up and running.
But now to the bigger questions --

1. What all needs to be done?
2. How do we go about it?

There are a humongous number of topics/themes and covering everything
under the sun might not be possible in the available time span.
So an outline of what all will we be doing, has to be drawn out first.
Thinking cap time...

To add to these: (Some economic ones )

1: The rise and fall of stock markets and the effect they have. This is a very huge topic. Dunno how to moderate this
2: The sub-prime crisis in US.
3: The rising costs even though inflation is under control

Will keep adding more. Also, will give links to articles i can find .
