some of the questions that i remember.....are as follows...
1. the power of knowledge is the tagline of...?
2.which is the largest tea exporter in world?
3.who is the indias first trillionaire?
4.who is the brand ambassador of citizen watches?(kareena not in options)
5.who is the union commerce minister?
6.to which country did the miss universe belonged,this year?
7.vaio belongs to which brand?(the simplest queation)
except for these...there were questions pertaining to the following topics...
some aids awareness award,whom do we export the most(countries name asked),
brahmos missile(countrys name or sth...not sure).....
so this is all dat i remember...

MTNL offers basic landline and mobile telephony in the metro cities of Mumbai and New Delhi. Its ADSL broadband service Triband has around 300,000 subscribers. MTNL will offer IPTV to its 2.2 million subscribers in a week's time.

Indian Hotels would change the Boston hotel's name after acquisition.
The 79-year old Ritz-Carlton, located in Boston's Back Bay area, is owned by Millennium Partners who bought it in 1999 for $122 million.
Millennium owns a second Ritz-Carlton hotel in Boston, the Ritz-Carlton Boston Common, built in 2001.
The 400-room hotel is the longest continuously operating Ritz-Carlton property in the US.

The GK thread is great, I have recently joined Pagalguy, and I think the forum really serves its purpose.
I have a couple of questions:

1) Among the major MBA Entrance exams, Which exams have a GA section?
(I know abt IIFT, SNAP, MAT and NMAT)

2) Among these which exam has the toughest GA section?
( I dunno abt this)

3) Any specific books to refer, except reading news papers and business magazines. Any knowledge database or website we could check?

The Punjab government has taken a corrective step by deciding to observe the 150th anniversary of the Namdhari (Kuka) Movement at a state-level function at Bhaini Sahib on April 15 this year.

The Kuka Movement marked the first major reaction of the people in the Punjab to the new political order initiated by the British after 1849. the Namdhari Movement of which the Kuka Movement was the most important phase aimed at the overthrow of the British rule. Ram Singh, who became its leader in 1863, gave military training to his followers. It seemed inevitable that before long a clash would occur between the Kukas and the British Government. The clash actually occurred over the question of slaughter of cows. It started with murderous attacks on butchers of Amritsar and Raikot (Ludhiana District) in 1871 and culminated in the Kuka raid on Malerkotla on January 15, 1872. The Kuka outbreak of 1872 was visited by terrible punishment, which was equaled in brutality by few events in our history. A large number of kuka prisoners were blown to death with cannons, their leader Ram Singh was deported to Rangoon.
