Just 1 question-by when can we expect to get the lappie? I got relieved today and thus returned my office lappie....now I am feeling really jittery without a lappie and wud like one asap...lemme know how soon we can get the lappies

Its a sexy config...
-2 gig RAM + 3 yr onsite warranty (This is v v v expensive generally, and service and support is THE MOST IMPORTANT thing)
-Back Pack (I hate those carry-cases)...not too imp tho
-Again its says a 9-cell battery...generally these days 6-cell / 8-cell hota hai...
-Hell with Vista... I ll offload it anyways! 14" screen is just wat i want too!!

These bulk deals would be initiated from Mumbai(Lemington Road), and the dealers present there.

I would implore all of us to come forward, and pitch on your views for the same. The config that we have almost zeroed upon is already mentioned above.

Those who are interested, need to SMS from their Cell , their Real name & Contact Number, mentioning the vendor, price range they cannot go beyond, and if they are okay with 50K offer from Dealer. Everything will be transparent, and we will be talking to Dealer directly.

Lets C, if I can get him for the bare minimum. But I would need the count of people, for ANY bargaining. 50K is assuming there are 40 Ppl for it ! Considering a batchsize of 120 in JB, Sydneham , Pumba & KJ Somaiyya (all of which are yet to start)and 10% ppl being interested, we can have 120*4*0.10=48 laptops.

I would want all these 40 Ppl to pitch in with an SMS to me, so that I can arrange for the bargain. All of you out there, ask Ur friends, or any1 whoz interested, and take the count to 40. Else, we won't be in for this deal.

Request cooperation from all of you!!
PS: Deadline for the activity is being taken as 27th July 2007. Will try to wrap up before that. if not, it shall be after the colleges start. But then, it would be difficult to coordinate between diff colleges. Pitch in with your thoughts!

Also, I want to know what are wireless routers as against connecters? Because she says that wireless routers will add to the cost. I am a computer geek and thus am unaware about these things. Please help me.
