Dates for registering for paid/free mock cats by various institutes

I want to join Test Series...so visited

TIME , IMS and CL today...

At TIME they have

2 batches :- 10.30 and 2.30

Starting : 22nd July

15 AIMCATS
15 OMETS
5 CRTS
5 MOCKCATS

and it costs 4250/-

At IMS they have

Starting : 19 August

Timings :- Yet to be finalised but they will have two batches

8 SIMCATS

for 1500/-

and another package is 16 SIMCATS PLUS

for 2500/-

At CL they have

Starting : 22nd July

Timings : 2 batches - 9.30 AM and 2.30 PM

12 MOCK CATS
16 CAT FLTS
6 Prev CAT
10 Other Tests

and it costs 3000/-

and another package was

12 MOCK CATS
4 Other Tests

and cost was 999/-

I forgot the full forms of AIMCATS,SIMCATS,OMETS,CRTS,FLTS etc...

So now its tough to decide which package to select..!!

As some say that IMS is useless...(Checked that link from JAMMAG)..plus TIME is lot tougher than CAT and it demoralises and everything...

so kindof confused on what to select..I am planning on selecting two of these three...havent checked Career Forum though...

Well as most of us know that Career Forum and IMS have free MOCK CATS this sunday i.e 22nd July

I have registered for both...

but timings are clashing..!!

This would be my first MOCK CAT..have no experience whatsoever..

Plus i havent prepared so just giving for the sake of it, It will show me where i stand so how much i have to struggle

So what do u guys suggest.. ??

IMHO, go for IMS mock... Coz the CF mock won't be given by as many people as IMS. IMS has a large student base.
Also, try getting the CF paper after the test...

Give them any reason... How does that matter...

Anyways, i am a classroom student in CF. So i will get the paper without any problems(hopefully). I am however going to give TIME mocks...

Also, please PM me in case you have more specific queries... Lets not clutter the thread

Yes, CF conducts its tests regularly on Sundays in Mumbai too. I meant,
if you miss your test on the Sunday ( for example because you're joined
some other test series too) , then CF (in Mumbai at least) is most
accommodating and forthcoming, and allows you to give your test anytime later.

By the way, the Sunday test (here in Mumbai) isn't held at the centre but
at some 'neutral' venue, whereas anytime later you can give the test at
their centre (whenever a classroom is free).
I speak about Mumbai only - Pimpri may be somewhat different, however,
generally speaking, CF folks are very friendly and helpful.

Thanks for posting the details about the various test series
packages.
Has anyone else heard about (or enrolled for ) the CL package
(12 MockCats for 999,- ). It certainly sounds interesting.

I would recommend, ( what with you're being a newbie and all that),
that you avoid the Time test series like the plague. Whoever told you,
that it confuses and demoralises and then some was not understating the case.
Most of the questions, one struggles to get to grips with - and I mean
merely grasping what is actually being asked. Solving these, then, is a
different matter altogether, and most would struggle to do so even given
twice the time available. IMHO, for masochists or hardcore junta only.

All that hype is not necessarily true, but then that's just an opinion too.
Equally many swear by the Time series, so I guess, you'll have to make
up your own mind.

well plus also i am kinda tight on budget at the moment so TIME is kinda low on my list..

so i was planning for CL + IMS

It would cost me 999 + 1500

Lets see will finalise in couple of days..!!

I've checked with Career Forum...

Their test series costs Rs. 2900/- for 12 Mock CATs + 10 Countdown Tests.

They also offer discounts based on the scores which one have in their Free Mock CAT and also on the basis of last year's percentile...

They seem to be most flexible as far as the timings are concerned but it also depends on the center...

They also have a Free Mock CAT this Sunday too...
