Hope the meets will add value to your preparations. Try to utilise the time in the meet keeping the following points in mind:

• Bulk of your preparation should be done by self study and the learnings from meets should only be to fine tune your preparations.
• Decide the topics on which to have discussion and go prepared before hand. This will ensure you all are on the same page and upbeat.
• In case of mock paper discussions, make sure you have done thorough analysis of the paper yourselves before discussing and getting others' persepective on the mock questions.
• Dont take up too many topics or try to cover too many concepts in a single meet; it wont be of much help. Discuss a few concepts and try applying them taking a few examples.
• Most important of all the primary purpose of the meet should be to keep yourselves motivated and marching towards that common objective.

First PG Jaipur meet for '09 has been conducted successfully.

It was scheduled to be at Coffee House but due to lack of space at the decided venue, we shifted to Saras Parlour.

Firstly, we had a round of introductions to break the ice. Jaipur can boast of engineers, commerce graduates and two doctors .

Then, the feline species came into the picture. There was a lot of gyaan in the air. We discussed how we could help each other through the journey called CAT and how PG could play a pivotal role. Some of us dished out our extreme hatred against some coaching institutes and some B school exams .

Then people exchanged suggestions so that we could remove our weaknesses. Some people had lots of suggestions to give. . We decided that the next meet would be used to discuss one mock.

In conclusion, it was a fundoo meet for the first time and Jaipur is on the PG map once again after Grondie sir's efforts. We will have many more fruitful meets, hopefully.

Please don't judge anything by the title....some of you may have comprehended it some won't!
I will explain.The kid is me.Till now (i.e before the PG meet) i was living in an oblivion of cat.Did not know what should be known about it!
IT WAS AN EYE-OPENER literally!!
I over judged my capabilities before the mocks and the institute which i had joined among the labyrinth of the institutes!
I was the only undergraduate in the meet and was astonished big time to see Mat toppers (Dr. Punit), Cat 90+ percentilers(Abhishek and Dr. Punit) and sectional 99.xx percentiler( quant- vishal aka site india)!!
I felt like that HunchBack in the Movie 300 who wants to fight the war but is nothing in front of the SPARTANS!!
Yes they are really Spartans!
But on the contrary the Hunchback was rejected by the spartans...these spartans really accepted me!!
By the time you complete the last line you may be thinking what a pessismist he is...But the two mock scores( 83.xx and 85.xx percentiles push the evidence)!
It was a great meet....hope i become a Spartan one day too!!

hey ankit,
we all are hunchbacks in this feild till we succeed.moreover just try to remember that a lot of hard work goes behind all this.i know u r definetely aware of this,but at coaching institute u ve joined u will meet many and many fancy people to guide you and to misgude u!
u r aware of ur weaknesses and so m i,so at the end of day it just boils down to improve upon them,no matter what how much time does it take.
best tip to improve ur studies is dont fix any timebound limit for studies,study whenever u r free,FROM TODAY ONWARDS TILL U ACHEIVE UR GOAL,WHATEVER IT MAY BE.n decide ur goals according to the hardwork which u can put in and not according to ur potential,of which,ofcourse we all do ve equal quantity.

and ofcourse,around 2lakh twenty five thousand wrote cat last year in actual figures,so almost 22 thousand scored above 90 percentile,so not a big dea atall.

Dear Vishal,

Gagandeep and I are going to take AIMCAT 1018 on Sunday evening in the 4 pm - 7 pm slot. So it wouldn't be possible for both of us to attend the meet this weekend. Please inform the other guys and see if they are interested. See you next weekend, hopefully.
