After the most amazing AIPGM ever, we try and bring to you news that hopefully Mumbai Puys will welcome with smiles. Puys looking for place for group studies, puys having pseudo meets every weekend, puys unable to attend because “the venue was too far”, puys who dont like to spend Rs. 150 on coffee or a bomb on Pizza every month... here we bring to you annual sponsors for the Mumbai PG meets Chapter.

What, Where, When, How?

• Career Launcher Mumbai will be sponsoring Puy's conducting PG meet with Space as well as refreshments.
• PG meets can be held In Career Launchers, Dadar, Borivali & Vashi Centre. Both we and CL are open to more than one meet happening, in more than one centre at a time.
• In case Puys, decide to meet up in a locality other than Dadar, Vashi or Borivali, then that can be arranged as well.
• Every time there is a meet, one of the Puys will have to PM myself or estranged_gnrs.We will call CL and arrange the space.CL will need a 48 hours notice. And we would need a few hours before that for coordination.

Why?

• Because we love Puys & PG meets, because it could be a constraint for some puys to spend every weekend, because we wanted to provide you with some place where you'll can do group studies if you'll feel like it, because we dont want a Borlivali PuY to be left out because a meet is happening in Powai.

Some FAQS:
Does that mean now there will be local meets within Mumbai?

• Quite Possible. The turnout could be lower or higher. But the point is now you can have meets more frequently without bothering about the costs. And this does not mean there will be no all Mumbai meets.They can continue happening as well.
• Do we HAVE to meet in Classrooms all the time?
• Well, not necessarily. For the starters, CL Dadar has a lovely terrace that can accommodate upto 40 puys with ease. Also you dont have to have all the meets in CL. You can have them anywhere you wish to.... Pizza Hut, CCD, Bowling alleys or elsewhere.
• What if we cannot decide the meet location before 48 hours.
• Well you can contact us and we will try to make arrangements at short notice. But you are free to have a meet elsewhere in that case.
• What if they try selling us courses? I am already a student of ..... or am not interested?
• Trust us they wont. Just because you are using their premises dosent mean they will counsel you. You can read the stuff on notice board, but unless you enquire, they wont advertise a course/ test series/ prep material or any of it to you.
• So What do we do in this thread?
  1) Discussing about various PG Meets in Mumbai or any other related events both in and out of CL.
  2) Providing a venue(s) to people to collect together without worrying about traveling to a distant place. Deciding on a venue for Mumbai PG Meets has always been a pain, people can vouch for that. CL venues provide us quite central places where from users can move to another place after getting together.

So what next...

I say we have next PG meet.... the one which is being planned on 7th at CL and start being the first city to have PG meet sponsorships. Howzzat?

I am a Newbie..and I am looking forward to the PG Meets in Mumbai...Just wanna know...what we New bies are suppose to expect from it..Like in knowledge sharing way...what happens over there...and how it helps....to our CAT prep journey....

These are few of the following things you can expect to have at PG Meets -
1) Gyan from oldies ( most of them IIM or top B-School converts ) or at least knowing a lot about MBA prep.
2) Interaction with other newbies. Discuss about how they are preparing, share tips on how to prepare, share material, get inside information about coaching classes ( which one to join, which material is best etc ) and discuss latest news and perspectives about CAT and MBA as in general.
3) Make great new friends .
