This was a wonder-wonderful AIPGM! I couldn't attend the bangalore one and so attending this one made it all the better
It was so nice to see familiar faces and a huge bunch of unfamiliar ones
We drove all the way to the event and chuck was besides me. He kept at his PJs at fairly regular intervals. I have to admit, the guy has a talent for PJs which far beats anyone else I know - but that wouldn't stop me from modding my car and installing an eject seat
The beach resort itself was a very good place! We had A/C rooms and all that - I've never seen such a PG meet and boy it felt nice to do more and do things better! A lot of the oldies decided that the meet was too organized and may be they were right. I think in the next AIPGM, people should be more involved in managing the show!
One more idea that came up was that during the next AIPGM we should find a way to highlight the awesomely talented PG junta. This year most of the HQ was on stage .. and it was a riot .. but I guess more folks from the forums should be included to make it doubly as awesome!
I loved all the events - the skit with its side splitting dialogues and the rock band with so many talented people that it made me feel like a rather talentless piece of drivel. I can't understand what the rock band folks are complaining about missing drum beats and all that - I thought it was freaking awesome! These guys should be on the road doing shows!
A lot of people have commented on the salsa dances and I bow to thee - When you have awesome folks like Aditya, Sukita & Sharmistha dancing alongside - its not all that tough
Twas a fun event, good to meet people and chat up without any work agendas or anything for that matter. Just senseless nonsense and noise! I loved it! The tag line for the event - The "6th Nonsense" captured it really well
I hope everyone had fun & made some more awesome friends - Life is simple like that sometimes
PS: What a lot of people don't know is the first time I ever danced was in an AIPGM - at the ripe old age of 24/25 or so .. Gotta love what AIPGMs makes you do

Hey All,
After reading the Post AIPGM replies , it really feels that all the efforts put in by everyone was so much worth it..
It was my first AIPGM and i have had hell of a fun.
To start with, it took us complete one week to prepare the Salsa..Everyday the moment the clock hit 6 , everyone would ask when are we suppose to leave for the practice..and practice sessions were more fun..To tell you ,I was grounded and punished for leading Aditya( Guys are suppose to lead )...
The rock show practice at office was so gr8 that it just felt like not working and listening to these guys (Thanks to Apurv,Soumik,Aditya,Ashwin,Chuch and Vineet) for the whole show...
The skit..Ah...During one of the Practice session, i was drinking water when suddenly i could not control myself and i laughed out spitting out the water fountain on Sandeep and his MAC (I wonder how I am still alive)...
Now at the resort, the best part was our rooms...they were awesome...(some advantage of being a girl )
The introduction session helped newbies like me to know the Oldies of PG..followed by the wonderful Rock show, skit and ofcourse the Salsa ( planing to continue learning it)
The beach walk at 11 in the night, Bakar with other Puys ... were such an add on to all the fun we have had..
I enjoyed every part of it...and m really looking forward to the next AIPGM ( May be we would Perform a Samba or Tango or dont know wat but we would, that is for sure..)
And ofcourse thanks to our sponsors Zenith Computers...for supporting us all the way...

The Theme: Everytime you think it cant get any better!!
Then the PG HQ surprises us!!!
The Events: Rock show; Skit; Book Launch; Salsa dance; The Puyscars..
The Arrival: Unlike other years I arrived slightly late at the AIPGM..reaching around 5 p.m. in the evening and was immediately greeted by the sight of Apurv and company practising away on the stage..
The Resort: This place was one of the best ..a pool ..lovely rooms ..great dorms.. Rohit and Apurv had put in a lot of effort.. to find the perfect place.. Not that you need a perfect place,,,just a colection of Puys is enough..anywhere for the insanity to flow..!!
The Welcome: Soon ran into Rohit and Allwin who spared no effort in making us feel home and ensuring that we settled down quickly..
The PG HQ Cometh: This AIPGM saw the advent of the PG HQ in a big way with substantial addition to numbers ..and what a creative bunch of people..Oh! Man.. I mean most organisations would be happy if their Graphic designer can do decent designs.. How many would be able to boast of a designer who gets voted "the boy with the chocolate looks", sings melodiously and dances the salsa!!!
Sudoku Sweeps: She saw . She slogged . And she conquered. She seemed to be everywhere at the same time helping out with small and big queries and problems and Junta rewarded her by crowning her with 2 out 3 personality awards..
The Intros: The evening started off with a round of intros starting from newbies with a handful of posts to the certified pagals who have thousands of posts to their (dis)credit..the highlight was the intro of a whistling puy..who could whistle any tune you wanted him to ( member of Indian Whistler's Association.. He entertained us with "Papa kehte hain" from QSQT..
The Rock Show : An awesome performance by Apurv and his gang.. I forget some very important names here . the ones I can recall are Soumik and Aditya..Chuck.... but there were many more who contributed to the whole
The Book Launch: Launch of the "All I wanted to Speak about CAT" book by Allwin; Perhaps the only book to be launched accompanied by Salsa Dance by the presenter..
The Puyscars: Another much awaited event for applauding the contributions of different ouys across the forums..
The Skit: Once again literally "mind" -blowing performances by the HQ as they gave a world of new meaning to terms like "kesh study" in the IIMS..and how students get professors to fill up their "maang"...
The Salsa : And they saved the best for the last !!! Allwin and Aditya literally blew the audience away..with their scintillaing performance...had the audience up on their feet ..clamouring for an encore..
The PG Anthem: Tati has ensured that No AIPGM shall be complete without it.. After all !! PG Rocks!! PG Rules!!
The Dinner: Terrific Food !! Terrific Friends .. Heaven must be something like this..
Walk on the Beach : Topped off the dinner with a stroll on the beach with the waves crashing on the shore making an awesome setting...
The Oldies Adda: One of the most memorable "bakar" sessions by the oldies lasting till 4 in the morning..the echoes and reverberations of the session already being felt on the forums..
The Newbies Cricket Session : This too lasted till the wee hours of the morning and probably would have carried on till the sun rose..except for the fact that the ball was lost which prompted one of the newbies to come to the oldies adda session and ask.. "Do any of you have balls??"
What More could we want ?: Well -for the first time we felt the dichotomy of the oldies and newbies at a PG meet .each group seemed to have compartmentalized themselves... Possibly we could try and get more interaction scheduled between oldies and newbies..and I guess its up to the oldies to take the initiative...
Puys I loved meeting for the first time: Chuck; Quintessence; Urmad; Monil;
Puys I loved catching up with once again: Curtz -imi, Allwin, Pranav10; Estranged; horrible; mahip; Apurv;Grondie..and many more.
Puys I missed big time!!! : Vineet nitd; aarav; prem ravi; rmbt; oxymoron; psychodementia; tatimatla; rings of saturn; sumitrocks, made for iims
All in all .. an amazing AIPGM!!!
And as always...
PG ROCKS !!! PG RULES!!!
BIG VOTE OF THANKS TO ALL THOSE AT PG HQ WHO WORKED TIRELESSLY AND SELFLESSLY TO MAKE THIS AIPGM SUCH A ROCKING SUCCESS!!!

Fantabulous Experience...
This is was my First AIPGM meet.. believe me those who didnt attend.. its a big loss..
Not being so much active in PG for last couple of months. myself.. i neva realised what made all the users or rather Puys bring together.. and contribute so much..
but being there in the meet... gave me everything i neva understood..
when people from different genre of society with different backgrounds.. having huge baggage of knowledge and experience to share.. come together.. then wat to say.. people had to go "PAGAL"..
When they start talking.. there so many ideas in their each statement.. a true brain storming process...
it was amazing to see how .. Pagalguy HQ team (u can actually cannot differentiate between them puys .. all work together).. brought up such amazing performances.. rocking music show.. great singers.. dramatics skills...
hats off to.. rohit,apurva.. and others.. to bring up such a amazing event live with their efforts..
I also want to thank Puys because of whom i can proudly say that i have been able to score good in the my mba entrance exams.. which without their guidance.. and experiences would be almost impossible..
Feels like saying just these lines..
" PG Rocks!!! PG Rules!!!! yehi hi to mera jahan!!!,
" PG Rocks!!! PG Rules!!!! yeh hai humdum mere saath.. "

AIPGM--This will remain special to me for All Reasons!
Working in PGHQ has been one helluva experience. Im getting to do things which i really could only dream of! Why? I'll explain!
I have been working here for the last couple of months .The second week at PaGaLGuY had me interviewing people to recruit at the HQ( the irony being the fact that I was being interviewed jus a few weeks before that). The second month now had me singing with a live band on stage with musicians blessed such awesome talent, that if it wasnt for them being at PGHQ, they would have been in a studio room -creating Magic! From Day-1 of the practice sessions to the Final thing @ AIPGM, it was absolute & unadulterated joy -just being a part of the jamming sessions. So saying it was "a privilege" to share the stage with the likes of Soumik, Apurv,Vineet, Chuck and Aditya would be putting it mildly. I'll jus say I was blessed!
Well if tht heavy duty intro wasnt helpful in tracing who i really am....lemme put it this way...Im the guy who ruined your favourite bachpan ka gaana.."Lifeboy"! (I also sang A Girl-by Beatles...but then I realised tht this was my "better" moment of fame)
Add to tht-- the "multiple-salvation attaining journey" of being a part of "MBA Nakko re Baaaawa"!! Man o man...right from the dialogue scripting stages( the first time Rohit did the Tadap tadap act in front of us-my first Salvation attaining stage ) ...
...to rehearsing it in front of junta @ PGHQ ( everybody goin bonkers ... watching Soumik do the "Tamil "slang...Dev doing the "Amul Macho -tooooyyn bit...Deepu doing the Final dance...Harsh doing the Professor's voice...Khushbu doing the Lecturer act..and Priyanka doing the Chaudhary uncle rip-off...and consequently there I was ...attaining salvation yet again)...
...to the whole team actually performing @ their best ever on stage!!!!!! With all due respect -I believe even my forefathers would have been Rolling on the floor & laffing their bleep out!
For me, its not just the 23rd of May that becomes memorable. Its those little moments and the wonderful memories I had during all the days running upto the event- that make it Very Very Very Special.

Most of you must have read "All I wanted to speak about CAT" but this post will be called "All I Wanted to speak about AIPGM"...
2nd AIPGM May 2005 at Essel World Mumbai
Was a newbie then, working for Patni Computers and I clearly recall Allwin asking me "Are you coming to AIPGM next week?" on my first visit to NASEOH (Mumbai Community Service - Naseoh, Chembur). ( Community service intiiative by PaGaLGuY where Puys still go and teach deaf and mute kids English & Computers, though the thread is not active).
I thought ok, why not. And One week later there I was on my way to Essel World with few users from Vashi. Whattay wonderful experience it was. I remember users like "undertaker" coming from Baroda, Apurv from bhopal, urmad from chennai and lot others ( aarav, anupam_will_return etc ) from Pune. Was great fun all the way, a great day to say the least.Almost 35 people attended the meet. If you want to know more what happened there, click here (All India PG Meet - Mumbai - 8th May.).
Being a newbie ( and then pagalguy had hardly 12000 users ) I was amazed at the simplicity and humble attitude of all other puys at the meet. Here were people who were going to Wharton, IIMA, IIMB, 99+ percentilers and just so approachable. I had a great day then...trust me and I was henceforth found on PaGaLGuY since then
3rd AIPGM May 2006 at Essel World ( again!!!) Mumbai
All i remember about this meet was that Mahip, Grondmaster, pranav10 were the awesome volunteers. Also by then I was working at PaGaLGuY ( PG, Me and Apurv the three puykeeters ). Bit organized with excel sheets et al and a day spent well at Essel World. Still remember the ICE bhel puri at Borivali to which Allwin treated us with .
Me was not a newbie anymore but it was again awesome to interact with great friends I have made on the forums and meet the new ones. Even today, if i have to contact them after ages, I just need to remind them of our AIPGM meeting and I get their attention Bootiful networking and friendship!
Almost 40 people attended this meet. To read more about it, click here - (All India PG Meet 2006 : 14th May)
4th AIPGM May 2007 at Alibaug , Mumbai
This was a leap. The team at PaGaLGuY was growing and we actually got sponsorship from IMS to sponsor this meet. We had Nikker doing a recce on the beaches of Alibaug and finding a place for us. First overnight AIPGM.
This meet was so awesome that we still talk about it. Ride on ferry from gateway of India to alibaug, then bus to the place where we were staying. Close to the beach. Very basic arrangements for stay ( actually all the guys were sleeping in a room with mattresses on the floor) but it was one helluva time. Bonfire at the beach, music and thanks to the full moon , people walking and chatting at the beach all night. We hardly slept.
This meet had around 45 people attending and we could sponsor flight tickets for people coming from Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai etc. I was into the groove of being a Puy now and already shared great bonds with lot of people who came to the meet and meeting the new ones, was as always a pleasure. It was Apurv's hard work during the meet which made it organized. As usual, we had the volunteership of Grondmaster and Mahip and lot other people. To know more, click here (All India PG Meet-2007 Celebrations at Alibaugh, Mumbai on 2/3 June sponsored by IMS)
After this meet, the standards were set and we were wondering we will have to do something bigger next year..but what..noone had a clue!
5th AIPGM May 2008 at Bangalore
Whoa! After lot of polling, voting , campaigning, Bangalore was decided to be the city for the AIPGM. Awesome bus ride from Mumbai to Bangalore, being joined by Pune puys along the way. The bus ride was one amazing experience and around 30 people from Mumbai/Pune joined around 45 others in Bangalore. People from Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Cochin, Manipal etc were there and all kudos to prem_ravi, harsharocks, macora for awesome logistics and arrangement. In this meet for the first time we had our first rock banned performance! The song, PG Rocks, PG Rules was created by Tatimatla, Apurv and Richa.
So, what was going to happen this year? All of you must have read the experiences of this year so I won't bore you much. This year we had the attendance of 95 people and it is indeed amazing to get responses from people that it was a well coordinated insane experience
During the meet, I had moments where I could see flashes of last 4 AIPGMs I have attended and all I wondered was yes, we have come so far. From 12,000 members at PaGaLGuY we are today 3,10,000+. From 30 people at AIPGMs to we are at almost 100. But the feeling of pagalguy community is still the same. It is still mindblowing to interact with the oldies, achievers, newbies and get to learn something from them. It is the delight which you get when you shake hands with people whom you have never met, but can feel the bond and familiarity. It is the madness which makes strangers play cricket till 3 AM.( They would have gone on till morning, if the balls were not lost). Now I know how cults are formed
Next year, what it will be? I have no idea
Thankoo people to come all the way, thankoo people at PG HQ for such rocking performances and Thanks Allwin for PaGaLGuY!
