Hello Da Junta,

The baddest and the meanest contest of all times, PG Coolest Avatar Contest is here!

Aptly placed in the times of this political shoe launches, this time we expect the contest to be full of excellent humor, creativity and false promises.

This year, the contest is going to be a new format, which we will not disclose right now. Do expect lot of twists from the judges and the CECs as the contest goes ahead. The rules may change anytime

The Process

1. All those who think they possess a cool avatar, nominate yourself by posting here. You need to put up a maximum of 100 word write up in your nomination post.

2. If you want, you can change your current avatar, finalize it and nominate only after that. Don't change the avatar after nomination.

3. The judges will then shortlist the finalists based on creativity and whackiness of the campaigning, and PG being a democratic place, we will open the contest for public voting. Do remember, it is only the finalists for whom the Puy Junta will be voting for, but for the nomination stage, you gotta convince the judges.

4. The winner of the poll is the winner of the Coolest Avatar 2009

To start off with, here are few rules -

1. You cannot change your avatar once declared here. If you wish to change, do it now.

2. No plagiarized avatars, try to be original. If two users have same avatar, ONLY the one with an earlier date of joining PG shall be considered.

3. Explain the theme behind your avatar.

4. Work on your Content Delivery/Canvassing Style for the avatar.

5. Having nominated once, the contestant might assume his/her political role and start campaigning . There are ethical ways and there (un)ethical ways to promote yourself like PM's, phone calls, SMS, scraps, messengers, You should refrain from the latter route else the CEC might cancel the avatar's nomination.

6. You are free to form pre-poll, post-poll parties and alliances after nominating yourself. So, apart from individual winner of the Coolest Avatar contest we can have a 'Coolest Avatar Party' as well which gets max number of votes in the end.

7. Shortlisting will be based on avatar, Content Delivery/Canvassing Style and X factor :razz:

April 27th, Monday 5 PM - Campaigning for nominations stops and thread locked ( extended from 2 PM today)

April 27th , Monday, 6 PM - List of final 10 Nominees will be announced and voting will start.

Do remember the judges and CECs may decide to change the rules of the game at any point of the time

Greetings, junta.

I declare myself in the running for the Coolest Avatar. I am a newbie to the forums and am unsure about how things operate here, but yet I shall expect support from you people...

This is the speech which I should have used three years back. But heck, now I'm an old grandpa on the forums. Indeed, when people see me today on the forums they say, "Oh him... The old MICA dude, na?". When me and Opium/Gronde get together we talk about MICA discussions 'of those good ol' days' as if they were a decade ago.

So electrioneering point - longevity and sustained brand positioning.

Why have I chosen this avatar? Because it somehow reflects the way I am. Calm, funny in an old English way (I do not mean plunged into depression and about to be overrun by anarchy), and of course, bald.

Also, this is a great time to form my party - OMPA (Old Men's Pagalguy Association). We're going to get back the good old people who raised PG to what it is today (provided they can remember their passwords). People who haven't posted in a while. People who fondly remember about PG but somehow logging on gets shelved while making those presentations about the increase of consumption of ethylene dicobutyl in Western Peru.

OMPA is here, and OMPA will rule.

Hokay now that chuck has put in his nomination, I hereby pledge allegiance to OMPA. I am undecided about putting my hat into the ring but I shall campaign for sure (I am jobless )

Here comes the brigade from those who used to post but with other miserable aspects of our lives taking over, are unable to do so. In that sense I fully support OMPA.

BUT. This time I'd like to nominate meself. I have been posting for a whle, lately unable to do so due to my employement hours (ChUCK will testify). Also, Partly because I have been here for sometime, posting only in Chit Chat, I feel the need to be known throughout. This is going to be my shot at fame. So here is my avatar.

I got this beautiful picture on my 21st birthday anniversary. Given by my very dear friend. She herself made this picture.
You can call it an abstract art.. After scanning that image i'm using this avtar evrywhere.
Now thats what i call a cool gift. Bilkul original and bindaas
And regarding changing this avtar, naaahh.. it will remain till eternity
I thought i'll never convey the true meaning to anyone.. But..ufff this PG Coolest Avtar Contest..
