AIPGM 08

The AIPGM 08 in Bangalore has finally come to a close . Around 75-80 puys turned up, making it the biggest gathering of puys in any of the meets. Puys from bangy, chennai, delhi and hyderabad reached the resort at around 12:30. After lunch a few of us decided to have a intro session, while others decided to take a nap before the Jai Maharashtra junta arrived, as everyone knew they are not going to get any sleep after that..

The JMV (jai maharashtra volvo) arrived at around 3 -330 in full colours with jai maharashtra topis. they wer then served lunch. after lunch, few of us started playing cricket, while others kept themselves busy by playing TT, chatting, watching IPL or taking a dip in the pool.

At around 9 in the evening the programme for the evening started. Grondmaster was the MC for the evening. The programme started with acceptance speech from all the winners of PUYscars, which was followed by an into by few of the puys.

After this the much awaited activity " Kya ap Certified Pagal se Tez hai" which was actually a quiz on Pagalguy forum. Grondmaster was the quizmaster and Mahip was the official scorer.

This was followed by Rock performance by Apurv, Tati and Richa12..and an mazing PG song ( wish it would be available on net soon). There was an impromptu performance by Rajat_nda, who sang " Hotel California". and a skit by Estranged which had a lot of indecent gestures which every1 enjoyed.

Then, finally at around 12:30- 1:00 the dinner was served, to the relief of many starving puys.

The much hyped clash of bellys match between MonsterKartik and Nikker was finally called off in interest of safety of all the puys.

After dinner many people decided to call it a night, while about 10 of us decided to sit by the poolside. While we were sitting by the poolside, we foundout that the pool was a home for frogs and many insects including a giant cockroach ( about 5 inches long), as well as being a watering hole for stray dogs.

We were soon joined by a lot of other puys. Rohit tried his best to throw people into the pool without any success. Finally, frustrated with his unseccesful attempts, he himself went into the pool and offered booze to one of the frogs swimming there, who gladly accepted the drink. Meanwhile, on dry land, Nikker and puneet hid Jackal's shoes, who spent the next 2 hours looking for them. Rohit, along with Tati brought 3 mattresses from one of the rooms as Rohit wanted to sleep Taaron Ki chhaon Mein. I still can't figure out why he needed 3 mattresses when he was the only person who slept there.

Finally at around 445, everyone was dead tired and decided to sleep. The next day was spent in playing cricket, TT, cards and saying goodbyes.

The bus to Bangalore left the resort at 2:30.

I would like to thank all the Puys involved in organising this meet and everyone who attended the meet, for making my first AIPGM a memorable one.

Ossssum experience.... Another well organised AIPGM,
Bangalore organizing party & PG HQ n all puys, Gussshow...almost twice the strength of last time...
(d PG Tee has an interesting design too)
It was great, meeting legends of this family and d noobies....
It is this intangible thread that binds us together which makes each n every PG meet successful....
Great show everyone n will definitely b a part of every AIPGM to come...

i am not sure who all took a swim but i saw gnrs, prem, macora, arun (from chennai), rocknroll, gantis, adityacool in pool.

The Moment it was decided that Bangalore is going to be the Venue..I was tensed, scared. How are we going to do this, with only a few active puys from Bangy.

But Believe me guys, today I salute the guys who have helped me & coordinated to do this great show.

Behind the Screens:

HarshaRocks: This guy, single handely called all the 80 + guys to find out their boarding points. Whenever I was worried, this guy used to say “Arae bhabha, teek sae hoyaega, Tension math ho”. There were lot of occasions, when we literally fought about the Plans (finally I imposing my Plan hehehe).These fights actually helped us to fine tune our Plans, made me to think/rethink about Plan B/C/D. By the time I woke up & started calling out station guys (around 6.15) on 24th, People replied me that Harsha gave a call by 5.AM to check the same J.Infact when I was worried about the Airport Pick up (as per our initial Plan, People getting down at the airport would be dropped to the resort by CAR), this guy volunteered to hire a car paying 2400 + fuel, he infact came with the idea of scrapping the Bangy Farewell meet & contributing the treat money for AIPGM….Harsha you ROCK man..

Amrutesh666: Whenever I called him & said something (like this is your team/this is the plan etc), he never cross questioned & was happy to do it. He single handedly handled the BTM zone as Esh was transferred to my team,.Accompanied us(me & HR) to the resort for the test run..His Kannada skills were very very helpful.

Macora: Any email which was sent, was sent by this Guy. Most probably he should have got up at 4.45 on 24 th as he was asked to be there in the railway station by 6 AM. From then he took the complete charge making my life much much easier. DAY 2, return bus thingy was done by him as I got up only by 1 PM after the previous night …

ESHNIL: Let it be printouts or helping Mac/me, this guy stood first. Came to my home at 6.15 (Riding some 15 Kms). Helped me in receiving Delhi guys at Airport as I had to go & pick up the Hyderabad Guys…

Special thanks to Rock &Roll, Mirchikris for helping us in receiving the Guys…

These guys did a lot many things than what I have written. Infact Amru, HR, Mac, Esh paid Rs.1000 each to PG for the AIPGM.

Till I have guys like you, we can host n number of AIPGMs….

Just back to Mumbai from Bangalore and the first thing I'm doing in posting on the forum

It was an amazing meet, and I'll just put in some keywords instead of long sentences to save some time for sleeping Here are the words n phrases:

Early start from Mumbai puys from Western Railway track to Vashi, Bus delay of 2 hrs, Happy hours at nearest Bar, Sutta stock fully loaded, "Haan, bas 10 min mein Dadar se Vashi pahuch rahe hai" dialogue on the phone, the mystery of the missing 20th mumbai puy and the big carton brought by Apurv, snacks and PJs at the bus stop, Non stop drive to pune in 2 hrs, insanity in the bus, Bus changeover on the Highway, Luxury sleeper AC bus from Pune to Bangalore, Beer-Vodka-Whiskey-Cold drinks-Alu bhujia in the bus, Flying of the AIPGM banner, Late night dhaba dinner, Antakshiri-Dumb charades-Card games - Teen Patti, Judgement, Bluff, Jhabbu, etc etc in the bus, 350 kms away from Bangalore at 7:30 AM, A1 plaza breakfast on highway, Fixing the AIPGM banner on the bus, BYOB - beer stock collection on the way, Beautiful sceneraries, Windmills, Rock formations, greenery on the way, Money collections in between, 1100kms total drive from Mumbai-Bangalore, Reaching venue at 3:30 PM with Jai Maharashtra topis.

Check-in into cottages, meeting with all the great puys; quick bath, lunch, cricket, carrom, pool, tt, et all.. arrangements for the show at night, fights with the hotel management, chances of heavy rain, unavalability of light arrangement on tennis court, makeshift arrangement inside the resort near reception, Mum-Del IPL match, PG AIPGM Tee Sale, Kya aap Certified PaGaL se tez hai registrations, intros, acceptance speeches, double meaning skits, PG trivia quiz, starters-cold drinks for the puys, cocktails behind the stage, effect of cocktails seen on the stage, rocking rock show, amazing pg song, new singing talents, Mods meeting, SackHIM making less than 20 runs, fight for "cold" drinks and "colder" soda, starved puys, late night dinner, even late night pool side chit chat, early morning "shoe" fun, matresses near the pool, short sleep under open skies near the pool, tired and sleepy puys.

Early morning departure of many puys - some for other commitments in Bengaluru and some for catching up with deliverables in projects, sports day of the meet - everything being played, heavy breakfast, departure after evening tea, inauguration of the new airport by puys, BJP winning in Karnataka and puys leaving Bengaluru with Congress gandhi caps, Flight delay and poor announcement system, Cross questioning by airport people including a lady inspector, an old uncle, a young lady, and many more on the PG tees with questions like "Aap PaGaL hai? Aapko certify kisne kiya?". "Kya aap koi drama company wale hai?"., Weather change and heavy rains - more flight delay, teen patti-judgement in airport lounge, Final takeoff at 10:45PM, Laugh riot in the plane which ended when many passengers complained about the insanity; violent sky, turbulent weather, shaking of the aircraft like an Essel World ride, No veg meals on aircraft, hungry puys, Mumbai landing at 12:45 AM, Cool cabs for Pune puys, still 3 hrs for their AIPGM to get over.

Great arrangement by Bangalore people esp prem_ravi, HarshaRocka, amrutesh666, macora, eshnil and all volunteers.

Thanks to HP and all the wonderful puys who donated for the meet, and making it the biggest meet in the history of the forum.

Just got back from the AIPGM, a while ago.....sharing some of my thoughts/takeaways....

1) The Bangy Airport is fundoooooo!!

2) The Bangy puys and all the folks who organized the meet rock! Lots of hard work, and good planning

3) Dilli puys are to organize a meet in the absence of 11 puys from the city.

4) Some people ignore poor newbies like me.

5) Some 'skits' and 'dramas' that happen on PG are not rated 'PG', but '15+'.

6) Teetotallers are losers. (I am a loser...no offence meant please...)

7) I can't win a PG quiz, unless I have spent 5 years on the forum.

8 ) If your opposition needs 11 to win off the last over, never ever allow HarshaRocks to bowl.

9) The world is a small place. I didn't know that Apurv and I were batchmates at IIT coaching, nearly 11 years ago.

10) PG Rocks..... PG Rulez!!
