Its that time of the year again..
Yes.. Insanity will be rewarded.. Mediocrity will be crushed.. Only the outstanding will survive
The PaGaL Awards are back to mark the end of another wonderful season on the forum. It may not technically be the end of the season yet as the results have been delayed yet again this year. But it is still a very good time to reflect by on the year gone by. Things have gotten bigger and badder - at both the ends: The users and the PGHQ both have played their parts to near perfection. User participation has been phenomenal. We have almost doubled our user base in the past one year which is really a achievement everyone out here should be proud of. Its a testimony to the fact that PaGaLGuY is the only destination for users in India when it comes to the word "MBA" . No wonder we are at the top of the ladder of educational sites in India.
And all these has been possible only due to the the person voted by TIME as the "Person of the Year 2006" - YOU. Yes You all have been the sculptors and the witnesses of the success enjoyed by PaGaLGuY in the past year. All of YOU who have worked collectively towards making this OUR place. Now its time to recognize and reward a few amongst US. And most importantly is time to have some FUN. Let insanity rule
We have a new name for the awards this time - The PUYScars And yes any resemblance to any other hyped award function which does not deem movies like Paheli and Ekalavya fit for a award is truly co-incidental
Now for some rules and regulations:
EACH USER IS ALLOWED JUST ONE POST. USERS FOUND POSTING MORE THAN ONCE- WILL BE DISQUALIFIED, AND THEIR POSTS DELETED. And yes we do not consider clones as different people
YOU CAN EDIT YOUR POSTS, TO EDIT YOUR NOMINATIONS.
NOTE: ALL THE AWARDS ARE TO BE TAKEN IN GOOD HUMOR. NO PERSONAL VENDETTA. THIS IS A FUN AFFAIR.
-> All nominations will relate to threads/posts in the past one year (6th April -28th april) only
-> You are free to nominate only for the categories you wish to and leave the rest blank
-> Please observe the 1 post rule.......... will be relaxed only once the votes are counted
-> Please stick to the prescribed format while nominating....... Any issues/disagreements/Info can be discussed in a separate thread here (PaGaL Awards 2007-08 - The PUYScars - Discussions)
-> Only one nomination per award. Only the first name mentioned in any category will be considered as a vote. Rest of the names mentioned in the category will not be considered for the award. (of course 3 names are allowed where we have asked you for 3 names)
-> No campaigning for the awards. Anyone found campaigning on the forum or ShoutBox or through PMs will be disqualified from the awards and will be banned for the duration of the awards.
-> Once the awards are announced the winners will be required to make their acceptance speeches
