We'd have to book rail tickets atleast a few weeks in advance a train journey would be cheaper and more convinient.
Also, by when could we expect the accomodation/travel status, as we might have to arrange for accomodation as well if staying at the resort doesn't work out.
Thanks,
M_S | You guys go ahead with your train bookings etc. The resort is definitely on...so no worries about accommodation. You can reach Bangalore on 24th Morning and Bangalore Puys will take care of you.prem_ravi will be taking the lead for it. We are negotiating the prices for the resort but expect something in range of Rs 600-800 per person for this. This will include accommodation and food.
As of now, we have no sponsorships. But if we get it, our first priority in fund allocation will be to not allow any Puy spend a penny once he reaches Bangalore Quote:

The plan remains the same. 24/25th May, Bangalore. Details about the resort will be given in couple of days. We are trying to freeze it between Rs 600-800 for all the activities.
Volvo planning is also underway, from mumbai to pune.
Can only say that if we get sponsorships( full or partial) at a later stage , our order of priority will be to go like this -
1> Expenses for the stay at resort. So that it is at least free.
2> Lottery based air- ticket sponsorship for people who are coming from far away places like Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur etc.Females will get preference for flight tickets.
3> Reimbursing as much percentage for all other travels made by Puys to come to AIPGM.
Ideally, we would like to see no Puy spending anything. Lets see how far we can reach.
Rohit
3> | I found my name at couple of places on PG Awards nomination in "user you wanna meet" category and now I think it will be a sin to be in Chennai but not joining PG Meet, so will book my tickets at any cost by tomorrow evening
Rohit shall we collect names of people who will come for sure and voluntary withdraw their name from any kind of sponsorship on grounds of better utilization of funds and also to show strength of puy achievements of our Superv forum (obviously starting from me )? In fact in while sponsoring we can give priority to the DT/UDT/BBLT Achievers alongside females which surprisingly are not found in any team And in any case no guy already placed and earning (after MBA) should be given support as its not just sufficient to post that I owe a lot to PG without materializing same emotions when an opportunity comes
Please see that we can add more PURPOSE to this meet and can also come with some definite/concrete agenda in addition to inevitable & . Posts like these make my day worth it.It is always a challenge for us to arrange for funds so that PG HQ is running smoothly, working on developing products so that people here take more value from the site , trying to hire exceptional people and hundred other things. But when I see a post like this, i feel more motivated and charged to do more for this community.Makes me wake up nights and slog my bump off! Hence, I join you in the list of people who dont want any sponsorship but will attend the meet for sure at our own expense.
Except females, I dont think we can put any criteria for selecting people. For us, people who have contributed more to the community matter more than the achievers in competitive exams. So, our final call will be based on that and then lottery. ( IF..and BIG IF..we get sponsorship )
Agenda? I guess there will be so many exciting things happening at the meet that we wont even care about it.If you dont believe me, ask people who have attended last years' meet. Some of them had the best time of their life in last AIPGM .
Cheers.

Rohit | Andy and Rohit
I have known andy and really appreciate all his posts. But one thing for sure this post is by far the best post he has ever made .
I really appreciate this endevour of Andy and would love to join you two in this initiative. and hence would bear all of my costs .From the very begining i said that we should keep the total cost as low as possible as we would have the company of many freshers who dont earn any money and still want to attend the AIPGM and i would love to make this AIPGM one of the best ever and would love the company of as many as possible.
Also i would like to suggest to Rohit, tht if any sponsorship is arranged please try to first accomodate the travel costs of people coming from Far off places (as this is the major headache rather than boarding cost)
Finally, I have already booked my ticket for Bangalore, and even if no one is coming from Chennai i am there See you all at All India Pagalguy Meet.. Let insanity rule
Cheers to life, Hope to see all

i would love to make it , but then , i dont believe in making empty promises.
our 8th sem consists of a project (which i'm currently working on , a demo which has to be shown to the guide beforehand) , viva and a presentation.
it'd just take an overnight journey from here to be there , and me being an ex-banglorean , i dont think i should have any problems finding the location.
but its just that , at this point of time i would not like to make any commitment towards the same .
venue - where in bangalore? if this is fixed , someone kindly let me know about it asap.
even if i dont inform you guys beforehand , if my project thingy goes according to plan , dont be surprised to see me at the meet.
just dying to be a part of my first pg meet ever.
regards , god bless! By the grace of God , Born a Devil!
