No sponsors yet .

The plan remains the same. 24/25th May, Bangalore. Details about the resort will be given in couple of days. We are trying to freeze it between Rs 600-800 for all the activities.
Volvo planning is also underway, from mumbai to pune.

Can only say that if we get sponsorships( full or partial) at a later stage , our order of priority will be to go like this -
1> Expenses for the stay at resort. So that it is at least free.
2> Lottery based air- ticket sponsorship for people who are coming from far away places like Delhi, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Jaipur etc.Females will get preference for flight tickets.
3> Reimbursing as much percentage for all other travels made by Puys to come to AIPGM.

Ideally, we would like to see no Puy spending anything. Lets see how far we can reach.

Alright.

This post specifically goes out to the puys from Mumbai and Pune. We are now, with this post, officially planning to book a Volvo for the down trip. Id Est, the Volvo will be available for the trip from Mumbai & Pune to Bengaluru. The up trip back has not been planned, but if enough people show interest, that too can be arranged.

The facts are that a Volvo ticket by Neeta/metrolink et al costs about 1.2k single trip. Takes 18-20 hours from Mumbai. Remove 2-3 hours from that time and 200-300 bucks from the ticket price for the Pune numbers.

I don't have the exact rates as of now - will get them by tomorrow. Meanwhile, here is what I need:

How many of the attendees from Mumbai and Pune are ready to come by the bus?

1. User ID (obviously )
2. Real Name
3. Contact no. & email
4. Place of pickup: Mumbai or Pune.

Notes

1. There will be only one pickup per city. For Mumbai, I expect it to be Chembur, though that may change as per planning. Also, if there are enough puys requesting, we can also have other pickups like Vashi.

2. For Pune we expect the pickup to be at either Hinjewadi or Wakad on the highway. Its not sensible to move into the city and then get back to the same highway. We might be stopping for dinner at Pune, but that is time dependent.

3. Probable travel itenerary:
Day 0 - 23rd May.
Pickup at Mumbai - 5 PM onwards. Bus leaves pickup point at 6.
Travel to Pune - 2.5 - 3 hours. Reach Pune at 8.30 - 9.
Leave Pune by 9.30 - 10. This time, obviously, includes the probable 'dinner' we plan to have. Else, we stop for food later on the highway.
Day 1 - 24th May
Expected arrival at BLR: 1PM - 3PM. Bus is taken to a spot it usually stops at, or where the AIPGM venue is. Depends on the matter as coordinated with the Bengaluru based organisers, as well as the limits through which the bus is allowed to travel by the city traffic police.

Please note: We need atleast 30 puysengers to make this feasible. This count includes both Mumbai & Pune puys. Any lesser and the costs go for a toss. Please let me know about your attendance through this plan at the soonest. The simple reason is this: A Volvo, as explained above, will cost about 1.2k per person single trip. We're trying to reduce that cost as well as arrange for the whole process to be coordinated. If the full Volvo is cheaper per person, then we'll surely be going for it.

confirmed IIMA alumni meet is on 10th may in al cities except delhi and on 17th in delhi.....so there shudnt be any issues for IIMA interns or to be fachchas if they want to come

Any arrangements for Puys from chennai?

We'd have to book rail tickets atleast a few weeks in advance a train journey would be cheaper and more convinient.

Also, by when could we expect the accomodation/travel status, as we might have to arrange for accomodation as well if staying at the resort doesn't work out.
