Ok Me starting.....

On 17th, I solved 2006 verbal paper(I wasn't doing anytin for the last 4 days then and got tensed up and wanted to check if my verbal was ok). I attempted for 40 min and got 25. In that I got 3 IJF correct. But last year without htem I got 16 ...oh god again panic stricken.....didn't know wat to do next....went out...got Glucose and drank two bottles to cool down and said to myself 'I messed up CAT by getting nervous...now do I have to repleat the same?" after whihc I felt better and watched TV for 10 hours!!!! 3 telugu movies and one englihs. I didn't speak to my roomies entire day. coz they don't konw about cat....may be they didn't know my cat was next day. went to bed at 10:30PM and got sleep immediately which was a miracle. Now starts the story.

After some time I got a weirdest dream of life. I was being dragged by atrain. I shuoted but nobody stopped the train . So I had to get up It was 11:30 PM

Then went to bed at 2:00 am again. got up again 5:30 got ready and started off to centre at 6:30. It was 8:15 by the time I reached centre. did breakfast and started chewing on Mentos...'wanted trasition from AAm jindagi to Metos Jindagi'

My frieds came and one of them asked me waht was Romaticism, Neo conservatism, catholicism.....again panic attack 2 ..but told myself shouldnt' panic and told them I was going to loo and somehow escaped the junta. Sat alone. Told that I wasn't competing with anyone but myself. The motto was "I shouldn't panic'

After the exam started I was prob the coolest guy. Did verbal first for 35 min and solved 12 questions. went to DI and solved 15 and Quant solved 20. Came back solved another 4 Verbal and another 3 DI.

Sorry as it is obvious from above, my verbal skills are average. So far not clearing cut off but if IIMs have mercy, I may clear. Fingers crossed.

well let me share mine!!
had one can of redbull before i stared to the centre!!!
i was at the ceter at 9 a.m sharp..met fabio and jaybind..
i knew vr in for a yorker this time cos i got news dat this time quant is gonna be tough from a valuable source and as expected it was hell tough!!!
quant was never my strength and so i decided il start with verbal or DI(im good at both).
so in the exam hall after filling the OMR i decided to start wid verbal..did 18 qns for 45 mins and then moved to quant and didnt know any shit and muffed up what i knew as well!!!
gave quant for 50 mins did 12 qns and then moved to DI..dunno wat happ to DI..i cudnt solve the first 2 sets..i was tensed..then i moved to the next 3 sets and did all 3..overall 15 qns for 50 mins..had 5 mins left..tried to solve a couple of more in quant but alas the examiner said stop writing i was in the 3rd bench and i dint wanna put tukka!did 45 qns overall..
but i regret for doing that..one of my frendz who gave CAT jus for the sake of it in office is getting 105 putting tukka with a balanced split of 32 40 and 33 in qa,di and va respectively..hez applying to spjain now..
i havent checked my scores and dont want to also..its the end of the road to CAT and the IIM's and looking forward to the the rest of the exams iift,jmet and xat..ppl say without checking ur score dont come to a conclusion,but i know my perfomance and am sure i wont clear quant cut offs and did some stupid mistake sin DI..
so looking forward to IIFT this sunday..ALL THE BEST junta!!!

On 17th...

Did everything wat a sincere aspirant s expected to do..revised a bit...went to temple..watched a movie...cooled me in whatever way i can and went to bed with lots of confidence..

But alas...didn't get sleep..went to bed at 10.30pm but was awake until 1.30am..finally got some sleep after changing 2-3 rooms and woke up at 6am..

On 18th...

Me and Venky had Vel's college as our center and we use to take all the mocks together..we never worry about anything n use to crack a lot of silly jokes n u can always see us laughing..
we did the same thing on sunday (n it was natural for us) and we were really in good mood..were not tensed..
Wen to the exam hall with a lot of confidence..

DI-QA-VA is my order...

Gave full 50 mins....read all the sets..did 3 questions from 4 sets and didn't attempt one set

Got 11 rite 1 wrong..scored 43

QA

Thought the paper s 2006 like and expected QA to be a bit easier although not as easy as 2006.
Started the usual way...from question to question..but i didn't get first 4 questions..suddenly butterflies started flying inside my stomach..

so i went to the last page of the QA section and started from there...but suddenly i got struck in a 2 question set and spent close to 10 mins in that without any solid progress.

Got tensed...i thought thats the end of CAT 2007...but something in me told me that i m still not lost and i should fight till the end..

Then somehow regained a bit of confidence and started again..identified 8 doable sums and solved them...n moved on to VA

Alas..i ve got many wrong in those 8 and ve got a single digit score...

Was tensed a bit after a bad QA but somehow managed to give my usual AIMCAT like performance
Did 14 questions

Getting something around 25-30 according to various keys..

Anyway the story is over..i didn't prove in QA..thats the end...looking fwd for other exams

Hi puys,

Didn't know where to post. So posting her one query.

I asked for transfer to hyderabad. They are asking me to go on Dec 5th. But my Jmet centre is in Chennai on Dec 9th. So Dec 6 and 7 are working days. Don't know if I should report to Hyd HR on Dec 7th. Can I directly tell htem I will report on Dec 10th instead. Can I tell the reason as 'some appointment with a doctor'? cos I have taken leave for 2 weeks before cat saying Jaundice as the reason.

Please advise me guys. If it doesn't work, I have to go to hyd and come bakc to chennai the very next day .

And also going home without any sense of achievement. Don't think will be enjying there either. Last year my friend also got xfered jus After cat and ended up in IITM....

THere is no sense in joining hyderabad office as you will miss the PG meet i mean the JMET.

GIve reasons saying that you are still no fully fit and it would be too hectic for you to join. Also, u awaiting doctors report and after meeting him you will leave for hyderabad.

Here's my CAT experience:
17th Nov- usual day, got a new mobile (was tired of the old,idiotic mobile),spent time with my friend,who had her centre in chennai

18th Nov- Forgot to take good HB pencils to the centrePoor dad o' mine had to rush up to get me entire box of HB pencils,spent the half an hour before exam sharpening them Had to rush to my room only to find out I was lost. There were two halls having the same name but in different blocks.Had to run around the place and then finally reached my hall.
the speaker boomed-"On behalf of the Indian Institutes of Management,we welcome you to common ad.........." wow! I had to get a bit serious! Anyway this was my first attempt, so managed up some 10 Questions in each section. Didn't want to check answers.

Well, whatever it is, now its over! So , am waiting for the next PG-Chennai meet!!!!
