Hey guys,

I just saw on the PG homepage that the Blore meet is happening this saturday. I am heading to Chicago GSB this fall. I will be there at the meet and will try my best to be of as much help to this year's and future applicants to US b-schools.

The reason is to Warn the bangalore Puys, over coming to Airlines hotel....Whoever gave u that idea!!

let me give U a brief overview of Airlines Hotel. Following are the salient features of this enchanting place:
1. no place to sit, where 20 people can haf a discussion.
2. Astronomical prices of Cold-drinks. i guess, 30/-
3. Hopeless location, no scenic view
4. hopeless Junta(We were there between 5:30-7:30 on a weekend...And still, cudn't find anyone)
5. Difficulty in locating the place.
6. No hygeine near to the place where u'll be seated.
7. Its a hybrid of a pan-Galla, and a garden restaurant, and tends to becoming more of the former!

If anyone may still want to consider it, I wud want to bring it to your notice that We ALREADY have Had a PG meet(date with Consti) in there, and though the people made it an awesome meet, it was completely hopeless on place.

Please consider the venue again

PS: I MIGHT be there in bangalore around 15-20th july...If therez a meet near to that time, wud love to attend it.

how about KOSHY'S?
1. there will be place to sit.
2. cheap.
3. its closed so no view(but at least its on st.marks road)
4. good junta
5.easily locatable.
6. the place is hygenic
7.its definetely not a pan galla.

A lil bit of statistical and quantitative analysis will reveal that recent Bengaluru meets have not featured more than 16 ppl.

Considering that the alternative is usually some CCD or Barista , where one ends up spending anything ranging from 50 to 70 for just one coffee , which is generally consumed at a much faster rate than a cold drink in cold weather

Our dear HR has done a lot of ground work and has even gone to the extent of giving a link to the map of the location. His efforts shouldnt go waste

The fact that atleast most of us , on one or more ocassions , would've eaten at places where the drinking water is also used for cleaning puposes (its actually the other way ), this place actually makes me feel like I was born with a silver spoon. My only concern is , there is no smoke without fire and no fire with rain .

On second thoughts, Koshys as mentioned by Jyotsna is a good idea.

We can either go ahead with our plans or postpone the meet to a later date and brainstorm on the venue with time on our hands.

Actually I don't subscribe to Consti's views. The last time we had a PG meet Airlines was were we ended up being though most of the puys had been there earlier for "a date with Consti". May be we'll settle with Airlines this time(It is too late now,check the PG homepage and you'll know what I'm talking about).

Ah Sagar(If Im not wrong) where were you all these days?
I didnt mean any change of plans in my previous post (Considering that most of the 'aye aye' junta have not logged in today). Ofcourse we will be meeting up at Airlines Hotel, tomorrow. In case Consti has managed to corrupt the minds of these innocent Bengaluru puys , and tomorrow if the junta feels that the place is as bad as it can get, we can try Koshys, which is again walkable from Airlines Hotel.
