Chennai PG meet on 30th SEP!!

The meet was good, even though the attendence was low. Lots of stuff was discussed, right from BSchools inflating their salaries to the mock cats to interview experiences, form filling and possibly everything under the sun. hope to see a better turnout next time around .... hoping that we have the next PG meet soon

prahalad85(Currently in IIM-B) is expected to be down in september..we can expect some more iim-k junta to come down for the meet..so vr plannign to have one more meet in sep end..
guys pls plan now..one more month left!!!
jus 3 hrs..i hope dat it wudnt be a problem for u guys just to spend 3 hrs on a sat or sun ..yday attendance was so low..jus 8 guys!!
i still remember when we had 23 ppl at IIT-CCD for the last meet ..
hope to have the same in september(will let u know the dates in a while)..so guys pls plan and take some time off ur busy schedules to attend the meet..most important we need to improve the gender ratio in the chennai PG meets..so all the silent PaGaL Gals come on ..

PG meet- 26th Aug @ CCD, IIT M

One of the best PG meets i have attended. On seeing just 7 people, i thought this would last for another hour or so, but to my surprise it went on for 3 hours!! No one was ready to move but in the back of my mind, I had my viva(scheduled for tmrw)!! I am again amazed how easily puys mingle with each other as most of them were meeting for the first time.
And just as we thought that we were only 7, andy_jaan joined us.

Had a good time, discussions covered various topic from F1 to CAT paper, from mocks to Besanth Nagar, from people appearing for CAT to ppl attending PG meet!!

PG meets are definitely good place to hang out and throw away your tensions.

Now coming to some stats:

People who had promised to come were- 18

People turned up-8

I would request Chennai junta, to at least inform us 24 hrs in advance if you cant make it, last min cancellations hurt alot(except when there is an emergency).

Since, few puys, wanted the CCD meet to go on for another few hours, we have decided to have another PG meet in SEP end.

Prahalad will be joining us(most probably). He joined IIM K this year.

Tentative date for the PG meet would be 29th sep!!

correction there..prahalad is currently in IIM-B ..
so he would be there + the regular 8 of us who wer in the meet last sunday..so as of now 9 should be fine..
so guys there is enuf time left to plan ur schedules ..
so sep 29th we wud have a meet..
PaGaL Gals will be welcomed with a huge round of applause (now there will be some PaGaL Gals coming )

it clears you of some apprehenshion and doubts u have..so guys try making it to the meet..
lets make the meet on sep 29th bigger than the first IIT-CCD meet where 23 of us wer there!!!
lets put Chennai PG on the map way ahead of other cities ..
one reason puys dont attend the meets at IIT-CCD is its a bit far..agreed!!
but there are not many places in chennai which allow u to sit for more than 3 hrs wid jus one coffee in ur hand..
maybe ascendas too..so only ascendas and IIT-CCD are feasible..
theyl never ask u to get out even if u dont get anything to eat/drink...

kolkata pg meet me 12 people have promised to turn up..what if noone turns up...
scary thought..
hope that does not happen though!!!
wish me luck and visit the kolkata pg meet thread after 2nd september and hopefully i will have snaps to show and stories to tell...
