I was following PG since early 2005, but never really cared to create a nick till CAT '05. And anyone who has taken CAT '05, will never forget a certain Jacques Derrida . So Enter Derrida

Few years back during college days (before the tension of getting into B-school), my routine was this:

College->Home->TV->Star World (6-9)

There was one show "3rd Rock from the Sun". Really liked the name and tried to open a yahoo account 3rdrockfromthesun@... But yahoo didn't allow that. No thought of a few other names and came up with this ... me alien not human

Its a nickname i always liked for myself.. unfortunately my friends never bothered to use it..lolz.. So i decided to use it here..

I used the word nihilist initially in my training period.. the time when our team in office were deciding a name for us.. everybody was giving a different name.. ten i told nihilist.. everyone asked for the meaning.. i told them it means 'one who does not have moral values'.. everyone agreed.. ten a punchline for the team.. that too i suggested and all agreed it's 'immorals till mortality'..

so here in pg also i tried using this name.. but shocked.. even the id with this name already existed.. so added 1986 to it.. my year of birth

one more thing.. this even i got to knw later. the pronunciation.. it's pronounced as NYHILIST.. !!!

Later I realized that I am an MBA material..(nirvana)
Suddenly i found myself gathering info about the A-Z of how MBA/CAT.what after MBA...IIM n everything under the sky about MBA in India

And then came the Pagalguy...my name was already used...so jus to respect my obsession for the degree I came in as Obsessed_bout_mba...

P.S. During that time i didnt realize that i ll finally get obsessed with this CAT/RAT race..:Fade-col:

m tired of answering question from ppl abt my user name :huh:...some ppl asked me if i like chinese food...some even questioned if i were chinese ....then there was n ignorant lot totally clueless abt wat chop suey was....n i also found some enlightened souls who said that they loved SOAD n asked me if i too liked their music :satisfie:...

finally after 10 months n 15 days since i registered on PG as 'chop suey' i post on this thread to explain as to y the hell on earth did i select a name as weird (as some might say ) as chop suey...

i spent almost 2 days trying to find myself n id 4 PG ...i tried out names of all the greek god there were but every time i had the same result smacked onto my face "That username is already in use" ....i had actually googled for these names...names i had never ever heard before... n everytime it had the same message :crazyeye:....hell i cant understand this obsession ppl have with greek names

tired n frustrated i sat down to listen to some music...no prizes for guessing wat it was playing... chop suey by SOAD...dont know wat hit me i decided to try out chop suey as the user id....trust me i had no hopes that it would work after all that i had gone through...but waalah!! success at last ...finally i was a registered user at pagalguy.com

there came a time when i got so frustrated that i decided against registering...now when i look back i cant help laughing at myself ...dumb me...wats in a name

used to chat online a long long time ago - thought that i might pick this username as someone who studies egos (and repairs/destroys them).

however, it turns out there is such a field as ergonomics and that the specialists of ergonomics are ergonomists / egonomists.
