Well, it all started with Yahoo! chat ID.

Tried 'Rick' which is my petname, but was not available. Then my real name 'Rickson', still in vain. Then thought of an absurd letter correlation which can replace 'Rickson', and hence came Rxn (Just as 'Action' was transformed into 'AXN').

Now about the 911 part, I somehow liked the American way of emergency number. That's a number where from you'll always get a reply whenever you ring them, and they are there whenever you want them. Its a nice fishing bait in Yahoo! chat rooms, to've an 'explainable' nick and it worked more than once (more than twice, thrice ... ) for me

And mind you, my Rxn911 ID in Yahoo! was formed well before all those 9/11 stuff, and it has nothing to do with WTC and all.

Still, my dream nick is 'Rick' ....

Ok People, very few people know the full form of XP in my id. I have been using this ID - "anuragxp" for all my mail accounts (hotmail, rediff and gmail) long before Microsoft launched Windows XP or I heard of PagalGuy. I wanted to have a short mail id, but "Anurag" was not available on any popular site. So, I decided to use "anuragxp", XP stands for Xtraa Paagal. I am glad that many of my close friends have also started using "XP" with their names in their IDs .

The reason for this Avatar - well I wanted to use my B-School's logo, I had developed a different version of IMI logo, but someone (won't name who) used the same Avatar, so I designed this new one in Ulead Cool3D.

Ooh I cant let this pass...
See, I registered my blog sometime in December last year... back then I was HitchHiking to my office everyday. Its great fun... what with the excitement of an angry boss when you can't get a ride on time... plus I think the HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy is an awesome book... it follows no rules... is arbitrary to the point of... heck, I don't know what... if I was talking of something else I'd have said H2G2!

So basically, I chose HitchHiker coz it represents a lack of conformism with anything (and not as some political/social statement) simply because... rules suck! (you can add that to your name too huh? LifeSucksJobsucksGFdoesn't) ?
