Awesome Thread!!!

i guess we all are playing the waiting game....
Bollywood is a dream that we all need to keep refreshing and some day we gotta go for it....
not when we are 30 and well settled....after a few yrs of experience...
but maybe immediately post mba we can take that risk...
if it works then go for it....if not then atleast u can go thru life with fewer regrets...

RDB to me was a filmmakers statement against the Establishment....against norms...against playing it safe...It was like rock music....uncontrolled impulsive brilliant impartial and direct...

it reminded me that my life is not a train calendar....it is my responsibility to make it work...not my folks and my well wishers...not my piers nor my opponents...

guys believe in urself....a few yrs in difficulty and solitude and no security will be really tuf....but it will make u the man/woman u really can be...

Believe in urself....Our dreams will come true...Fight Hard, Live Strong

To die in Anonymity is not a sin, As long as u die striving for ur dreams....

here i come bollywood! :2gunfire:

well i dint like rang de basanti

no doubt the movie is packed with energy, gud cinematography by binod pradhan and slick editing BUT....

the movie is giving a wrong message...

however bad a situation is ,guns+youth is always a disaster.
majority of the youth today is frustrated-with their life, with the system.
the group of friends dint try anything else to teach the corrupt politician a lesson after getting bashed up opp india gate.so its either morcha or guns...bad idea.

ther is no large cause here.its all about making money at the expense of using the sentiments of public at large.the movie doesnot aim at a larger picture, but rather aims at commercial profits.

consider mani ratnam's yuva..it was constructive with all these educated guys forming a youth political party to change the system.what purpose did the merciless killing of siddhart's father lead to.were the group so sure of themselves that they took to killing all those involved in this.

rdb is abt getting rid of the problem makers not the problem.if the group was patriotic and concerned abt this defence scam they would have tried to solve the problem rather than bumping off the minister. patriotism is not abt eliminating criminals but the crime.

like i said the paper rocked..and like all know NID is the thing in design today..i kinda added 2+2..and concluded that it wud be a great course..more than nethg else wt drew me in ws the kinda crowd one wud expect at a place like NID..its defintly worth the 2 n a half years that the course lasts n for a lifetime thereafter..
there are only 10 seats and they prefer people with prior experience..bt dont rule out freshers..not just yet..

@vinu...wud be reletively regulr with by exploits once my results are out..and its cool to hv so many more ppl here!!
gud luck..take charge!!

"But Josef, why didn't you tell me before I went instead of after?"

hey every one i am aspiring director too. am currently a photographer and would someday like to direct a motion picture.
my advice to evreyone would be to make something original whenever they do become a director so that i have some real competion.

It’s fantabulous 2 c u guys enthu about filmmaking . This thread is amazing; I was sulking alone with my ideas:( . No one was there to discuss, I’m bowled over by the number of people struggling to become moviemakers . But guys why only a few among u all r talking about FTII, is it so hard a destination to reach? I just can’t stop dreaming about it. Is there anyone who wants to be inside FTII or who has ever appeared in its entrance test?
offtrack-I’d like to ask you all one question what you adore most Bollywood, Hollywood, British cinema or other world cinema and why?
