I guess this thread too has been long due. Now we have come up in the newspapers quite a few times and its my sincerest request that if you spot PaGaLGuY.com in a newspaper, please let us know and scan a copy or mail a copy to me if possible. Its becoming almost impossible to track the places we are seen nowadays in the newspapers

Without much ado here is the latest one -

PaGaLGuY.com in the Media - 20-06-2005, 03:25 PM

Aloha Folks !! Time for another compendium Of-late, like most of you have noticed, we've been having huge spurts in traffic/registrations and the like...Part of it could be credited to the increased media coverage that we have had in the past year or so....And yea, am talking of positive media coverage So i thought for the benefit of recent entrees into the PaGaL Land, I'll collate these snippets and put it forward...

And yes....These aren't the only ones where we've been covered...But Its been a tough act to dig those links(if online versions existed)..Hopefully from now on, we can keep updating this thread as & when we have a media mention !!

Starting off with the Daily Pioneer report on our Touching Lives activities...One of the very first reports to come off ...The related thread can be found here ('Touching Lives' gets Newspaper coverage !) ...This was in September 2004

In October, we had what was one of THE best media coverages that we've had with the model UN General Assembly session that we conducted along with Helix, a Hyd based youth club, for MVF....Everything associated with that event was BIG from the word go !!! The related thread can be found here (Model UN Gen Assembly-Hyd-Oct 8th - Successfully Completed :D) ...A few newspaper clippings can be found here ...And you can find a pic of the Hyd PG junta, along with helix, here ...This particular event was reported in every single regional newspaper and many national papers..It was also covered by all regional TV channels and, iirc, a coupla national channels too !! Our very own Simba was sharing the dias with the speaker of the AP legislative assembly in this Do go thro' that entire thread....A wonderful example of how guys who met online can actually gel so well

We were then the official web media partners for the biggest B-school fest in Asia, IIM-Ahmedabad's TATA Confluence 2004 ...The related thread can be found here (PaGaL GuY.com becomes web media partner for IIMA's Bschool fest - Confluence) And Confluence's page can be found here ...This was October 2004

Next in line was being the official web media partners for IIM-Bangalore's Vista (their B-school meet) ...The thread can be found here And Vista's page can be found here ...This was November 2004

Next is the Hyderabad 10k Run for which we were the official Online Media Partner ...You can find their site here And the related thread here (PaGaLGuY.com Partnering with Hyderabad 10k Run --Hop on Hyd'ies :D) And a pic of their press release here This was November 2004...

More Recently, a mini-mention in The Hindu's Education Plus can be found here

And one of the best coverages in recent times, Allwin's Interview on CNBC ...The thread could be found here (PaGaLGuY's Interview on CNBC - Young Turks - Thursday)

Apart from these, there have been mentions, we were told, in many regional mags such as webulagam in TN and the like...

Of-course I haven't mentioned neither the XL ragging fiasco nor the Grand infamous Cat Mis-Leak ...But both have also found more than the attention they merit in the media

We would love to hear about any other such instances where PG has been covered by the media, be it online or offline...

Cheers

Hey nice!!! In fact I personally feel this is quite "late in the day" for the print media to pick it up! Interesting to see the way both the newspapers put across the news item....though both were talking about the same thing the way they portrayed it was interestingly quite different! Needless to say which one was more professional..... btw so how old are you Allwin? 26 or 24?
