on our usercp (mu accounts) page there is a list of subscribed threads which have unread posts.....
it would be great if there is a link that takes us to the first unraead post something of the form that we get in email

This feature was present for a while.... but then was removed, don't know why. I had posted about this problem earlier as well.

I've found a solution which works, but it's good for a browser which searches for previous accessed links while you type (like I use Firefox 3, which is great on this front, dont' know about IE 7 or 8 ).

Eg: If you want to search for the first unread or "new" post in this thread, you can paste this thing each time:

http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/our-announcements-suggestions-and-feedback/8282-suggestions-feedback-and-more-new-post.html

Notice the bold part. That's the only difference that you have to make. Similarly, you can just suffix this part at the end of each thread and it will work. Try it.....

But still, it would be better if we could get the link to it

After loggin back into PG over 1 year of inactivity, PG style sheet remained same. I think we need a good clean style sheet where ADS,FLASH contents are placed in organized order. Whenever i am clicking on threads, few posts are jumbled between ADS and flash

I have mentioned this suggestion in the thread regarding GMAC suing ScoreTop but posting it here again because it might not get noticed there.

Since Pagalguy has mentioned that users should clean up any posts by them containing any copyrighted material, I wish to make the following point:

Query: Can moderators help me clear my confusion about what all constitutes copyrighted material? Yes material which you have to pay for is clearly copyrighted. but GMAC also seems to have objected to the questions which users used to post on ScoreTop. Can someone tell me is posting questions from 1000 SC, 1000 RC and 1000 CR illegal? If it is then most of the guys regular on the GMAT section have been doing illegal activity.

Suggestion: Pagalguy should give a tool using which users can erase all of their posts. I have been on this forum since 2 years. I do not even remember what all I posted in these two years. Better I clear all of my posts.

Alternate Suggestion: A grouping using which I will be able to see my posts thread-wise. That will certainly make it easier to check out if I had made any objectionable posts and clean them up.

I read the notice by Pagalguy and somehow got a bad taste in my mouth. The notice reeked purely of Pagalguy looking after its own back and washing its hands off saying that "We give warnings and notices. The users are at fault. Here are the IP addresses. Go catch them. Leave us."

Ok fair enough. I do not blame you guys. So just to be cautious I want a tool to erase all of my posts.

Its long time back(arnd 2 years or so), since im replying to a thread.
I have some suggestions:
1/
Make site faster, i.e it almost takes 40 seconds to view a web page, so while reading posts in the thread, if there are say 50 links it will take almost 35 mins. for just scrolling.
After all this time it is same as it was before no changes at all regarding speed of this site..
I suggest u guys to shift it to new technology, i.e from php to asp or jsp
or atleast try implementing ajax in it.
I guess ajax is not currently used in this site...

I forgot my user-id and email-id too which i used before, so after a long time when i try to login, i simply can't!!!!
There will be many users who will be having same problem as me!!
Please try to work around in this area by asking for more details, so that user can log on with his previous user-id and old status(i.e expert, hardcore etc.. )!!!!!

It would be great (especially on Quant threads) if we could have LaTeX or MimeTeX typesetting. Reading equations would be good on the eye

We had LaTeX, but no one used it.. apparently it was too much effort..
