Not sure whether it is feasible for PG HQ to implement or not, but still

There are threads in every section which are diluted with lot of spamming!
For example consider the QQAD thread opened by aarav, there are lot of posts asking personal queries like I am not able subscribe etc., Now, if a user goes through that thread after a long time, it eats up so much time to figure out the important and relevant information. Now, Is it possible to flag such posts(only by thread starter or at-least the moderators) in those threads and have an automated clean up mechanism which can be run every 15 days or even a month? We already have thank/groan mechanism? Is it possible to enhance the same to serve the above mentioned thingy?

One another thought! I am not sure how many oldies/regulars on PG visit this thread Hence, I think it would be better if you run a survey every six months about how best we can improve the forum May be, one can collate the suggestions received on this thread(every six months) and seek feedback from all the users(active) through surveying ! Wot say?

There's no "Edit" button in the Life@IMI thread:

Why's it so?? Puys using that thread have been asking for an "Edit" button since 2004. First I thought that perhaps the Edit functionality was added later but I posted there yesterday and found that it still had no "edit" button....

the section life at bschool....

does not have the edit option......

so when a bschooler says something he cannot change his words!!!!!

Hey what about metrics to show the progress of PG over the years.

Graphs projecting different kind of data such as:
1. Number of new users each year.
2. Number of new posts each year.
3. Pagalguy revenues each year
4. Number of paid staff hired by Pagalguy
5. Number of media news items featuring Pagalguy.
6. Probably you could hire some well known statisticians to state "x% of students in IIMs are Pagalguy users" ala You Know Who

Often its difficult to copy paste and format any chart.. data like we do in excel.. It would be great if excel sheets can directly be embedded to post as we embedd pictures. this can save lot of pain n time

We can always attach an xls to the post !

Click on manage attachments beside the smileys on the menu of the post !

dear u got my query wrong. Please read it again. . what I asked is that whole excel can be embedded in the post itself rather than showing as attachment.



p.s. about manage attachments.. I guess i have been using it more than anyone else

CCP a table from excel to the post. It should be carried as a table. The tabstop we use for word and notepad doesn't work. But html tables work. Else convert the table code in html, and use the [html] tags to write it here. Extra spaces are also converted to single space, hence the issue.
