I have following two suggestions: - There should be option to track the changes made to a post in a manner similar to Wikipedia. This privilege should be provided to administrators, moderators as well as the author of the post and also the feature of reinstating should be provided in case the user or administrator feels that the previous version of the post was required to be displayed to the users.
- The PM storage capacity should be in accordance with the status of the puy (Newbie, Trainee, Expert, Hardcore, Addicted, Certified). This will also act as a recognition of their work on PG.

| i personally believe the 'number of posts' system in the menu-bar works fine.
the status of a person can be easily judged based on the number of posts , which anyone would be able to , right from a guest to the administrator. why make things complicated by bringing in PM into the picture.
also , trend has it that an expert pagal would be more 'popular' than a newbie , hence the difference in the space allocated.
but its not in any way apt to generalize the same.
i believe , the 'technical feasibility' would also have to be considered while implementing the above.
cheers n regards

ps - sir , go easy on the fonts | Ok Sir. I'll take care of the fonts.
As far as technical feasibility is concerned, this can be implemented. I guess, the PG MBA forums are powered by vBulletin and I have seen the site CoolAvenues which is also powered by vBulletin and this concept of PM user space in accordance with number of posts of a person has been implemented there. Therefore, it shouldn't be difficult to implement this concept if the idea is approved by the Administrators. I just proposed this idea because as and when a user becomes more popular on PG, he starts receiving more PMs and the existing PM allowable limit of 100 is no longer sufficient for him.
grondmaster has suggested increasing the PM space for Addicted & Certified puys sometime back. I have just generalized his idea. | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to varun.jindal For This Useful Post:

Kudos to PG!!! | After posting my feedback about this useful feature, I suddenly found today that it's missing again!! So here I am, going to the last page of every subscribed thread and switching between pages, trying to figure out where I stopped following the thread..... Has it suddenly been removed?? Or is there some other problem?
Also, I tried using the Search functionality in this thread, to find the quoted post of mine.... Got the post in the search but when I clicked on the link meant for the post, it took me to the start of the last page (which in this case is no. 133), rather than taking me to the post..... Please check it as well | | | | | The Following User Says Thank You to avinav2712 For This Useful Post:

Since the past 15 days or so, Pagalguy has been loading very very slowly on my office PC. Infact, even before that sometimes the pages used to take a loong time to open. The status bar used to show "Done" but still the page used to be blank. Well here is a solution for such speed problems:
Use Mozilla Firefox and not IE to open Pagalguy and you will be amazed at the speed at which Pagalguy pages open. This also works quite fast if you are using a dial-up connection.
PS: It is my observation that Pagalguy started to load very slowly in my office ever since some ads, which use some inzanecenter link, were added. --- Abhishek.

All right, some of us here do tend to take the thanks and groans seriosly . Also I have noticed that many times some really good posts are groaned at by some users, just because they do not agree to the point of view of the person who has made the post, which I feel is not correct. I wonder if we can do away with the thanks/groans concept and introduce a rating system, where each post is rated on a scale of 5. In this way, some users will not feel disheartened on seeing groans at a post which did not deserve any in the first place. And since the ratings will be averaged, it will reflect the true quality of each post.

I love pg and would love even more to see it get enhanced day by day
I have a few points a ask and make... plz ignore if already suggested/discovered...
# In any thread, we have option of putting just 1 poll, and that too cant be removed once purpose is filled... can we have poll removing system from a thread and putting a fresh one if required?
# am not sure of this, but do we have themes, just for better look and feel, basically color themes...
# though an advance thing, but can we have shoutbox out of that page, like gtalk comes out of gmail
there r many more on my mind... but dont knw if should put all of them together at once....

Cheers.. | Misuse of Thanks and Groans in the way you say is a very recent occurrence and has to do with wrong interpretation of the feature by a set of people. We need to individually as users work on educating people about the fact that Groans are not for expressing one's disagreement with the argument. Many of us are already doing that on PMs, etc. But doing away with air travel because some people like to ram airplanes into tall buildings in New York clearly isn't a solution.
