I am Roopesh working in Gurgaon as s/w engg. I was going through recent posts about accuracy and point is quite valid. But I am totally confused hearing what others have to say. Some say net score is important some say accuracy. But I think it is much more than that which we will never figure it out so lets do our best.

I am Gaurav from Mumbai.

Currently doing BE and will hopefully complete in 2003.

Joined IMS but not very happy since the faculties have changed quite a lot of time anf the current ones are way below par.

Getting some poor scores in the Simcats , but hopefully they will improve as time progresses.

This will be my first attempt at CAT (obviously).

Hoping to improve my accuracy a LOT more than it is now.

PS : I came to know about this site by someone named Nachal.

Hi all my name is Ashwin. I've been lurking for a few days reading all the posts..I'm in my 3rd year of engineering. Even though I'm taking the CAT only next year, I already have a keen interest as a few of my friends are taking it this year.

I did take IMS' simcat2 since it was a free-for-all; scored 74 on that. Personally I'm gonna start any active preparation only late next year, but I'm always interested in the strategy,kind of preparation,etc., how other people go about it and things like that.

This seems to be a great group as there are a lot of people here with work experience and CAT experience, and their perspective is pretty unique, I have been in a few other CAT forums but everyone there is a novice so this place seems a great place to build your contacts(!!!!)... I mean if you guys are gonna be at IIM next year!

Anyway thats all for the intro post I guess-- I like the direction some of the threads in the lounge are taking so will definitely start posting there too.

This is not my first post, but i thought i'd introduce myself. My name is Adityan and i live in Chennai. I finished my engineering (B. Tech IT) here this year. I haven't got a job yet. I guess this is one of the reasons why i want to do an MBA. This will be my first attempt at CAT. But i am willing to compromise and try my luck at other institutes too.

its nag here...just joined the group.so thgt i shdl intoduce myself...nwz, me am a chemical engineer and a jobless one at that, so am thinkin in terms of doin an mba ...l its the 2nd time me givin cat, dont knwo how many times i have to???(hopefully not too many)...
well, its one minth to cat, so hope to study hard(not hardly) from now on....also hope to discuss with u all and arrive at eh formula(if any) to crack cat..

Hi all, I'm Sathya. Did my BE in EEE from PSG Tech, Coimbatore 7 years ago, worked as a software programmer in Chennai for a coupla years, then in Columbus, Ohio, USA for 5 years and came back to good old India in late July 02. I started preparing for CAT only in August and am keeping my fingers crossed. I sure hope that 7 years of experience doesn't work against me! It is right now, in the sense that I have forgotten most of what I learnt in Maths in high school!

With 7 years of work ex, I'd presume you'd be only looking at the top 3 IIMs.
