Hi Ashwin, PSG Tech is a really KEWL college! Was there in BE EEE from 91-95. I visited the campus last month and it was unrecognizable! The EEE dept. looked like very modern and hi-tech! Good luck in your CAT exams. Maybe we can be batchmates at one of the IIMs soon! :-)

BTW, is it true that a guy from PSG Tech acted in the movie 5 Star?

graduated in commerce from cochin this yr....
in pune as of now....doin a PG Diploma in finance at SIBM....hmm....not a bad course....not a bad college....not a bad crowd either.... :wink:

also preparin for CAT....and gawd.....its horrifyin at times...

I'm also from PSG Tech (BE-ECE). I passed out in 2001. Currently I'm working in Cisco, Bangalore. Nice to know a couple of Tech'ians on the forum.

hi bharath, good to know ur an alumnus of our..ahem...venerable and esteemed institution!

i've noticed this at tech where there's sort of a "group thinking" thing going on, guys actually come to mass conclusions on which exams are "tough" and which ones are easy. CAT they have classified as no-go....the result being almost everyone going for either the GRE or the GMAT...very few ppl with intentions of writing CAT...and believe me this group thing has a lot to do with it. its kind of sad to think that people are deciding on the direction their careers are gonna take based on the "ease" of the qualifying exam! was this sort of thing prevalent when u were here?

Been posting a few messages but somehow I committed the blunder of missing this particular posting and there wasn't a proper intro from me.Name's Avinash,
graduated from MIT,Manipal...B.E(mech)..my second shot at CAT..the first being in 2k....screwed that one royally and the thought of that dreadful paper still gives me the jitters..was working in an mnc for around 9 months and now it's CAT once again and some other exams..hope to make it this time around
Must say this place is really motivating and of course kool and why not with this gr8 bunch around..gr8 going!!! keep it up and wish you all the very best for the d-day!!!
