The concept of Community Leaders have been pondered upon for a long time here and the way forum has grown it is high time we give some synchronization to this chaos!
So, to help the users, newbies and oldies, regulars and once in a blue moon shines, we announce new set of users called as Community Leaders!
So, lets run through few FAQs on what Community Leaders are all about -
Q. What are Community Leaders (CLs) ?
A. Community Leaders satisfy all or almost all of the criteria -
1> They have a track record of helping users over a period of time on the forums.
2> Have come up with ideas at regular intervals and made an effort to implement them.
3> Have taken initiatives like conducting
PG meets, evangelizing PaGaLGuY.com at various platforms.
4> Are recognised by the majority of the community and have added value to the forum instead of noise.
5> Do not crib when faced with a stonewall, but take it as a challenge and overcome it.
6> Have a genuine interest to help the lives of
Puys.
Q. Who will choose the Community Leaders ?
A. Administrators/Moderators will select the CLs. Suggestions from the community and current CLs will also be taken into account.
Few email exchanges and a telephonic/personal chat may happen to confirm the enthusiasm and the temperament of the user before making him a CL.
Q. What would a user get if he becomes a CL?
A. Recognition on the forum. Few sleepless nights. Opportunity to help people and make a difference in their lives. Hands-on experience of organizing and managing people. Also a certificate from PaGaLGuY.com highlighting your activities.
Q. Will the CLs have any extra powers besides normal powers?
A. No. They will get ranks for sure, but they wont have any extra powers like mods/admins. Though, there is a good chance that future set of >Moderators will come from these CLs.
Q. What all activities are expected from CLs ?
A. Activities which a CL will perform,
1> Guiding and mentoring newbies in relevant sections.
2> Build a self-moderation culture at PaGaLGuY.com forums.
3> Evangelize PaGaLGuY.com and volunteer for offline events.
4> Conduct events like GK quiz on Shoutbox,
PG trivia Quiz etc. Counselling and providing information to the community will be also expected.
4> Have fun and spread the insanity!

We will be requesting self nominations from people who are interested in becoming Community Leaders.

The users can look upto Community Leaders for the following -
1> Regarding their career queries.
2> Prep related issues e.g. which coaching institute, which mock, which B-Schools to apply ,how to prepare etc.
3> Finding the right links and threads for information.
