Well I suppose any change would be accompanied by some form of resistance ..

I found the changes quite interesting and amusing, though it wouldnt wrong to say that it is a step towards the popular social networking sites.

One suggestion though.. Can't we replace the "befriend XYZ" button with something less creepy like "Add to Friend List" or something.. Afterall its safe to assume that I have already befriended the puy before i add him to my friend list..

Just went through the new features. My inputs on some of them:

- Social Groups: I feel there are some basic group features missing. Each group should have an option of sending a PM to the whole group. Also with each group there should be links to related threads. Like a Delhi Study Group thread can have thread links related to Delhi PG Meets, Mock cats in Delhi, etc. This would give more relevance to the groups and the usage will also increase. Otherwise people are just going to join social groups and keep posting messages in the group message book.


- User Profile: The user should get links to most viewed/read threads, his subscribed threads, etc. in one of the tabs.

Please correct me if I've not properly explored the new features and the above mentioned things already exist. Will post more later as I go through the features.

I am still exploring the new features ....after being able to login after a mammoth effort!

Status message : I don't quite see what purpose it will serve. And the blank message is rather overwhelming... 'user' has NO status

I was going throgh my profile and noticed 20 profile visits so far. Although, it showed only 1 visitor . I figured out that every time I visit my profile, the visit count to the page increases by one. The visit count actually increases everytime I view my profile after I log on after once logging out.(It does not increase everytime I view my profile).

Like this after about 3 months, if I visit my profile everyday, the visit count will be 100 but still it will show only 1 visitor . It looks a bit odd.


I also think we should have a coulmn in our profile which shows the net login time of the user so far .

The status message is just a quick update on someone. I do see that a lot of people are using it and I personally find it a good way to be kind of up to date on some people.

As for the 'NO status' message, well, that is the fastest way to get them to try the feature

As for the 'Break Friendship', well, that does need some TLC doesn't it.

Well.. we just keep all the data.. so there is no need for a separate archive righto?

As somebody already mentioned, in the quick links tab, under misc, the "My Profile" Link is missing. its been replaced by a blank line.
interestingly though, clicking on the blank line does take the user to the "My Profile" section
