Thoda server upgrading and reconfiguring is scheduled for the day. There might be some intermittent outages for the day. We are working on some new cooler technologies to ensure the site is served to you faster n faster n faster. So there will be some testing/benching/configuring and rinse-repeat stuff.

Phase 1 - done .. this was the tough part - we are now on a new platform for the server .. some tweaking to be done! Some more testing today, and if all goes well we finalize this. Else we do a rollback. Please report any errors etc

I didn't notice any downtime today... Was online almost the whole day.

Meanwhile... BSchool Ranks thread. Leave alone 48 hours, 4 hours mein the nonsense was back.

Did we have any issues on the bschool thread after I replied in it? The change of thread was one thing - I did some more changes to ensure spam bots don't register. I hope it helps... let me know if spam shows up on the thread after my reply there today afternoon.

Some more caching and real-time server end processing enabled. The portal feels significantly faster. I would like your own inputs though. Let me know if the site is faster/slower

and yes, the downtime did happen. one of our servers which was being updated decided to take a short break. but we're back and happy and fast!
