A li'l suggestion here, although it may mean that Mahip has to start from scratch again.
You see, the problems most noobs face here are very basic... How to navigate, how to post, how to search.
Advanced functions like thread starting, rating a thread, hiding posts, etc come later... Maybe after a week of PGing, when he/she is comfortable with the basics.
So as much as wonderful work as you have put in to these posts here, no denying that - think of it from a newbie point of view (assuming this is one of those chaps that does not stick around for two years before his first post ). The chap would be inundated with data...
So what I'm trying to get at here is... Make different levels of PG how-to visuals...
Say, Level 1: Reading (duh), posting, editing, navigating, searching. (The real basics. Food-shelter-clothing of PG as it were) Level 2: Starting a thread, sending a PM, advanced search (the Maslowian next step) Level 3: Reporting a bad post, hiding a post, etc (now that the user is fairly comfortable, focus on the things that even some hardcore Puys don't know )
Well, this is only a suggestion - I've seen some n00bs having problems, and some people saying they didn't want to post on PG because it was too complicated . We should try to overcome that.
Again, please understand I am not undermining the work done by Mahip already. It's a wonderful effort. But all the guys who've thanked this work are experienced puys
Wouldn't it be great if a n00b actually thanked you saying it made my first week a lot easier?
This is only a suggestion, would be great if you looked into it.

Good Job Mahip. Lof of effort must have gone into that. Appreciate it !!!
I agree with what Grondmaster said. The Main thread shud be only for U and Oxy to post and edit. Else it will b hell. Also the Level system suggested by Chuck sounds good.
Also if most of us have this in our SighNature its bound to attract n00bs to this thread. And yeah I hope Arun Saar does something about putting this thread in the main PG page or something. That wud b gr8 !

Oye Mahipe...
Bhai why have you given the link to the Tech suggestions thread and not this one in your Visual Guide lock post??? Quote: |

The Search Guide that Eka prepared... it ha only 2 useful posts, rest crap & thank you posts. Just incorporate it into the Visual guide... that'll make more sense, and free up the clutter... http://www.pagalguy.com/forum/sugges...e-newbies.html
You can just copy the post as is and paste it on the Visual guide, before your last post.
Watzay?

Please add the SB expansion codes to the SB section of the Visual guide...
Also, a visual of the same will also be useful...

Not sure if there is any mention about BB codes in the visual guide. If some information on how to use BB Code or the link to its index is given,it will help a noob understand many things.
