Creating a better search engine on Pagalguy

Hi Guys
you must have felt that during times when you have to search pertaining to some topic the search engine gives many more non useful links and it takes a hell lot of time to scan through all the links and get required information. So i will request the administrator to create an advanced search engine so that the precious time of all members can be saved. I will like to hear suggestions from all quarters in this regard

Well saurabh,
u need to go for the advanced search option where-in u can give more search parameters and refine ur search!

Well Gurav even with the advanced search options the search is not that refine. for eg if you want to take out all topics relating to data interpretations if you give this heading in advanced search option so many other inks were also shown which are of no use. so theneed is for a better search engine like google

I dont think its possible. Thats 'coz the search is built in to the Bulletin Board engine(in this case vBulletin). I dont think it can be modified. I havn't come across any vB search mods yet

It works for me most of the times

Imagine you want to search for "IIM-K" in pagalguy.
>First go to www.google.com or www.google.co.in
>In the search box, type "siteagalguy.com IIM-K" without the quotes.
>Click search
The results pertaining to IIM-K from Pagalguy.com forums will be displayed.

This method is more effective since the forum search displays the most recent post having the words "IIM-K" but in Google, the most relevant, and popular page, pertaining to "IIM-K",is displayed, thus we get a better result...

yea, I have a hard time with searching stuff using PG's engine..I get any random result! This google idea I guess shd work better..
