Demands/Suggestions for PG-IM!!!

Some very simple wishes ..

1) maybe some sort of integration with the forum. Say you create a alert list of threads you want to remain informed about. So, whenever an updation happens, a message pops up (or flashes in some sidebar,etc). You can reply from that message & post in the forum & return back to the messenger to continue chatting normally. Basically, if I log into PG Messenger, I need'nt go to forums unless I am interested in threads outside my area of interest.
2) integrating Y!, MSN, Gtalk .. trillian sorta
3) Advanced expletives emoticons & audibles.

in addition to above suggestions by capreal26 a shoutbox-cum-chat room and conference facility would be great...
anyways how much more time will it take.. very desperate to get my hands on it..

i am not too sure abt voice conference, bcoz it might strain the PG servers, but chat rooms is a gud idea...

I think the IM facility should have message archiving facility (just like yahoo) so u can refer back to any old conversations u had.... It will help to store ur real time messages, in case u get disconnected and hence u dont lose any important information

My two pennies...

Google has come out with a beta of Google Talk, its IM. It's integrated with the actual GMail engine, and has a optional history of chats taken.
It fits into the lists on the left, and shows you who's online from among your list of Gmail contacts... also creates a folder/label called chats, where, if you want, it can store the history of all chats. It also allows you to set the status of your visiblity & emotions! Here's the link...

Don't know whether the techies have checked it out or not, (most probably they have) but since its the only one I use, I'd say that it's the best feature GMail has as of now...

I'd promised my mother to stay off chats & IMs back in the days when VSNL was the only ISP, and broadband was still into the future... GTalk has come like manna to me, and I'd love it if the PG IM was integrated into the main site, something like a free-er SB, with privacy...
