Community Leaders - Junta have your say! :)

This has been a long time coming folks. As all of you might have noticed, some of our users are extremely helpful and are looked up to for advice. These helpful users are also one of the backbones of the awesome PG community that helps retain the community spirit we embody here

Its only fair that the highest contributors get recognition they so rightly deserve. That said, here is our idea.

1) We start a brand new group of people called - Community Leaders
2) Community Leaders will be experts in their respective fields and will have been a long standing and contributing member of PG to whom the junta looks upto for advice
3) All Community Leaders will be designated with a new color . a.la admin - red, mods - blooeee and the Comm L's will be .. ______
4) They get 5 times the mailbox sizes of regular users and ofcourse bigger and badder avatar options and most importantly they are recognized as a contributor and valued advisor to the junta

Now that the basic idea is out of the way, we now need nominations. You can nominate users for certain sections or multiple sections. The nomination format will be:

# Username of who you are nominating -- XXXX
# Sections -- XX, XX

Reply with your posts right on this thread and within a week we'll go through the list and make the final choices

Umm, I was going through one of your earlier posts wherein you had written that PG has grown from CAT to beyond and therefore invited contributors for articles on various topics.
Currently there are 6 Forums. God alone knows how many threads!! If you split it topic wise you will have too many Comm Leaders,and if you dont the mods are doing an excellent job as it is. How do you want to select the C.L. then? For e.g. Simba did a great job on the Foregn MBA but I dont know who's filled her shoes after that. Or bhars18 for Q.

What the heck?? Have tried editing my other post but every time I click the link ,either all the browsers open crash or I come to this post! Is it only me that seems to be getting these random errors? I am runnin Mozilla 1.4 on a Linux system for this particular error.

I guess as of now we are looking at all the forums except Chit Chat and Your Interests, cos there's no such thing called "Value Add" out there.

So as of now we need to concentrate on:

1: Indian BSchool related issues - (CAT XAT FMS.. all of them).
2: GMAT related Issues.
3: Forum - B School interaction (Here we need a non-Bschooler).
4: Exam prep related issues.
5: Forum related issues!

Let me try and understand this better. Are you suggesting leaders for QA,VA,DI,GMAT or is it general wise old owls??

General Wise old owls . We never had a shortage of geniuses for QA/VA and the works. But why not.. can consider that as well
