We have a major upgrade scheduled over next week for the forums. Some real interesting features are coming up including technologies like AJAX, the ones you see on gmail.com, which allows you to submit posts and stuff without reloading the entire page.
We have held a lot of modifications on PG hostage due to this upcoming upgrade. After the upgrade we will have the ability to make loads of changes we previously thought impossible

However, it will take us some time to port over the forum to the new software because of the modifications in the current board that will need to be replicated. If all goes well, there will be a downtime of just over 5 hours to get all our modifications back into place. I hope we can pull it off within a much lesser time frame though
Also are plans to make PG more SE friendly. Which means we might do away with the current kind of links and will convert them to more friendly and understandable links. No more "thread?=" kinda links.
As I said a lot of work is scheduled for the next week. While I'll keep everyone updated about the upgrade work, do not panic if you see anything broken around
