Welcome email has link for AOL users? -

Just registered at PG, and recieved the welcome email asking me to activate.
I'm just guessing about the demographics of PG users, but is the "America Online Users Please Visit Here" link in the email necessary, or is it just a vestige from the U.S. origins of the forum script..
Perhaps the message could be customised?
Cheers and keep up the good work!

Right. Just in case you need someone to volunteer to 'Indian-ize' the code, send out a shout
The trouble is when forum updates/security patches are issued. All the files need to be overwritten and then every piece of code has to be put back into place . I am trying my hardest to ensure files aren't modified

I am not a techie you forget..and the above line made no sense to me
cvs/svn are version control tools - so - we make our modifications and store them in a "repository" - when we get a new release - we simply merge the new release changes into the repository and rebuild. This way we keep up-todate with the new changes and still retain our settings. it involves some work, but definitely worth the effort - if we wish to do some customizations.
